  • Re: Oled cof tab bond Q&A

I'm trying to acquire a lead on a similar looking model with the thin q style that has a cracked screen to study.

Ive soaked my phone lcd with rubbing alcohol and it discoloured the screen.

Seems to be heat on the side with the issue and cold on the opposite.

I hope there is cof drivers.

  • Re: Oled cof tab bond Q&A

I see those also have the test points that people solder to, don't think that will fix my issue.

Its all metal solid frame a couple mm thick , id have to practice trying to remove the glue on another .

I feel like i can get a nail between the frame and the back seam .

the glue might be solid non removable and the only chance might be to cut the back.

After studying some videos on bad cof tabs they doo indeed produce a double image pulling down to the bottom like mine.

    Thank you,...

    Oled cof tab bond Q&A

I have a 65b9 that is showing symptoms of a failed cof tab or
    bad bond.

It flickers a double image on one side with horzontal black lines across.

I'm trying to find someone that has a garbage panel with extreme burnin .

i will need you to attempt to remove one side of cof tabs.

This will require heating the panel and separating the screen like a cell phone or cutting the back open .

I need to see if the oled functions like a lcd and will continue to work without causing a panel fault ect .

    I might be able...

  • Re: Lg 60pa6500 149v va

Well after re seating connections and removing the ysus and buffers it works again.

I dont know if its from flexing the board when removing ect.

I notice a heat pad had stains on it from something that was spilt and the back cover has evidence of a spill.

Cleaned the ysus and pads , it been working for 3h .

The logic board dose reach 60c exactly .

    Thank you,
    Happy holidays,

Im really lucky ysus has not blown yet, alot of discoloration on the pcb.

I think its worse since i gave it a little heat.

I think the heat from resoldering everything sped up its failure.

Worked for a week with no issues after cleaning and resolder.

I checked the logic board with a temp gun and think it was above 60c and hurt to touch, will check again.

Someone posted that the y sus is married to logic and there was a reprogramming procedure in lg service manual and cant recall if that was...

I was reading from vs to va pins thinking ground was black on this set.

From chassis ground i get steady 55v .

I think i have a intermitted open igbt or smd ect on y sus causeing vsc to drop .

I will disconnect the buffers to see if the 149v is still there.

The picture is fine , No fluctuations in va voltage.

it looks like something was spilt on the y sus .

    More testing for me.

Disconnected buffers and 149v is still present.

I think the y sus is leaking the 149v .

Gonna rebuld this sc board because the igbts look like they been through hell, probably all degraded.

After heating the heat sinks on y main , sc board i think it got worse , it still works even with 149v va !

I cleaned all connections and the picture got cleaner and the power usage went down.

i had a long hot night of it working fine then it gave up the next day.

The logic is dated 2012 .10.19 and x and y is dated 2012.10.23.

    Sincerely,
    Bman4

    Lg 60pa6500 149v va

Got this plasma to fix and was told black screen.

The tv was working for me for a month after sitting unplugged for a year.

Then i was getting black screen with sound and button funtioning .

After i leave it unplugged it worked but now its worse.

    No bad solder joints.

The logic board xd chip burns to the touch.

The logic board has a later date then the others and read about the reprogramming because out of sync .

I tried heating the logic board and dont know of it acclerated the turn off period.

  • Re: LG Plasma 60PN6500-UA Main Board

stby voltage should be 3.3. Hdmi has a 5v sence line and i think its taking out 5v . maybee something in the 5v controlls the memory. I can get one of these sets same scenario. I wonder if i replace that 5v regualator it will come back. a hdmi port should short protection if cable is damaged.

I ordered a programer i thought could do it. I was wrong so i just ordered a chip on ebay to save time.

Well after the misdiagnosis by following a video by using top pins. I did try 3 and 4 with hdd jumper but it must of not made a good eniugh connection the first time. I now replaced ic1302 from ebay and the problem is gone !

I threw in a zener diode that read 0.600 from a 12v power supply lwith what i just discoverd has a 2n60c.
Its up and running. Gonna to test for 24h

12n60 gate voltage is 2.7v. The Size of zener is small. Im guesiing 2.7v 1/2 w zener diode.

That zener diode is shorted but what value do i replace it with. I see some zeners read like a schottky diode. I see a 2 horizontal then a vertical 2/ symbol in pic? it almost impossible to read....

do i put the lamp in series on the mains input on hot or neutral. i forgot to resolder a throght hole resistor r1606. I resoldered this resistor replace q1602 & ic and now it dose not blow the fuse or arc . Wow to think one through hole.ristor could.cause.that much chaos! stby light is blinking with the back light and i get a pic now. it cuts out after stby blink and repeats when power button is pressed. Tested all optos and they are all getting signal.zener diode d1605 is shorted but i think i lifted it before andnit tested g...

Got the ics in and it and q1602 failed no short on ic or 1601. Tried it a second time with new ic and new q1601, q1602 .Q1602 shorted and the ic didnt again. I tested the pins on pcb before i installed them and there was no shorts both matched ohm reading. There was stby light.

  • Re: Finding replacement bits for a Panasonic Plasma SC board

pin 6 of ic784 mip9l02. Pin 9 is gnd that has conuninty to emitter of q661. So maybee its.the culprit. My dirst.test.i messed up.and forgot to connect ac to buffer clips and got arcing. I remeber when i did this to another it blew a ic like this up bur was shorted unlike this. This also has 195v between source and ground but not negative 195 getting 400v from gnd to drain with leads to 250v cap. Source has conunity to chassis gnd but i think its threw coil L897 and reads 1.5 ohm. I get 0.0 from gnd of ic784 to emitter...
