I have this Samsung UN55JD700D 4k tv that has sound but no picture. I bought a new tcon board from shop jimmy that didn't fix it. When I unplug the right side (when looking at back of tv) ribbon cable on the tcon I get a great picture on just the right side of the screen. The left side will just stay black. If I unplug the left side and leave the right side in I get nothing. All the backlights are working, and I don't see any swollen caps. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Samsung un55js700d no picture
I'm gonna open it back up today and poke around. I may buy a used board to throw in it and see if it helps.Comment

Re: Samsung un55js700d no picture
i would not go buying more boards for this set. you are going to be looking at a panel fault, if you are lucky, you may have a bad cap on a driver board. it will be on the half that you can't get a pic from. left and right side will most likely be mirrored, so you can get some comparative readings.WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?Comment

it is more often that it be cof failure, but we are always hopeful that it is something repairable, though not often the case.WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?Comment

Re: Samsung un55js700d no picture
I found one once, but it was like looking for sharks teeth on a beach. I wondered how rare the shorted ceramic capacitor on the driver board was. I guess it's one more thing to look for, but if I understand things right, cof's fail more often.Comment

- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by DobsukHi guys, i am dealing with one Samsung 50TU8000K which was without picture - just was resetting itself constantly. Saw some videos and read some post about simmilar issue and the advise was to try to tape cut off method and started to put tape on some of the pins on this ribbon cable:
And then i had picture but with lanes. Tried different pins and combination but could not managed to make it work without any lanes so far. Will keep playing with it though.
The weird thing is that i tried it again without any tape on the pins and now i have picture with just few lanes... -
by brithepi2kMy Samsung UE75TU7020k lights up fine when one of the ribbon cables are disconnected from the main board, lights stay on but not getting half a picture, I do the same with the other ribbon and put the other one in and lights stay on but not getting half a picture. The standby light flashes 2 times then reboots then it then tries to come back on again and just keeps looping until I take either one of the ribbon tables out (doesn’t matter which one I take out it stays lit when either one is out). I’ve tested the backlights but all working with none shorting out, I’ve replaced the main board...2 Photos
