The trouble is that tv only uses one eeprom ic i think a lot of newer tvs maybe like yours uses two ics maybe spi flash ics so im not a 100% sure you can copy the data etc as not all programmers can read and write the data on too the ics thats why im hoping a more experienced member maybe able to help/advise us/ In the mean time i would try looking for a replacemnet mainboard just in case you cant sort the firmware issue out.

What makes it harder that there are 2 memory ic's involved? Am I wrong that I think you can read them seperately? But I agree that we beter can wait for a more experienced technician.

Im sure ive read a thread somewhere regarding this but its been a while so cant find the site i was on hence saying not 100% sure what numbers are printed on the two ics your freezing maybe then we can see if the programmers can read/write too them.

          Problem solved!

I asked the Salora agency in the Netherlands dor the firmware and bootloader. I think they send me the firmware (it had the name upgrade loader.pkg).
          What I did:
          1. put the software on an USB-stick
          2. cooled the U10 and U12 flash roms till they looked white
          2. press ok on the remote
          3. put in the AC cable in the wall socket
          4. stopped pressing ok when the led flashed quickly
          5. The tv came up on 1, but...the software was updated.

          The problem is over!

Ki9nd regards from the sunny Netherlands, I hope someone can repair his/her (Vestel) tv with this trick.
