Digikey does not have a replacement unfortunately (at least that is what the live chat rep said)
So I found this cross reference site:
https://alltransistors.com/mosfet/crsearch.php?&struct=MOSFET&polarity=P&pd=89&uds=100&ugsth=3&id=25&rds=0.08&caps=TO252
I just am not sure about compatibility. This is not my design, its for a hoverboard, but I am sure the issue is this MOSFET since its shorted out.
yes thats the part. its connected in series with the common line of the compressor. if i bypass the thermal switch, the compressor runs and the coils do get cold so everything else seems to function normally.
anyway i am looking for more information on the part such as a datasheet.
compressor on my dehumidifier stopped working and i traced the issue to the overload relay.
the part is labeled with this: b155-150d-241e
does anyone know how to decipher the part number so i can search for a suitable replacement?
thanks.

history:
two years ago the tv would not turn on. when you turned on the power, the red stdby indicator light would go from solid to flashing a couple of times and then back to solid.
i pulled the power supply board and replaced the following caps:
cp814
cp8?? (next to dm801)
cm807
cm808
cm811
cm818
cm819
cm820
(i think that was it)
problem was fixed..
present time:
issue has returned, but at this time its intermittent....
look at this post here: https://www.elvikom.pl/lenovo-g700-model-20251-bambi-main-board-rev-2-1-power-problem-t44197.html
that is the exact same experience i have.
i am getting 20vdc from the fets.
i am not getting any voltage on the 3/5vdc rails, however i am getting 20vdc across those four small caps just above the inductors.
so i focused my attention on the chip next to the RTC coin.
but this is where i f*cked up..at first i was getting 3vdc and 5vdc across the caps next to the chip,...
Thanks for your explanations..makes perfect sense.
I tried what worked last time, but unfortunately its not helping this time. I maybe did something inadvertently last time and cant remember what it was.
I also just had a thought and I think the original AC adapter was also damaged when the power jack was damaged (the laptop fell while plugged in).
The replacement adapter looks like an identical replacement (not one of those cheap ebay replacements from overseas), but who knows they get better at copying each...
About a year ago a friend brings a g700 with broken power jack.
It was an easy fix since the jack is on a harness..no soldering required.
6 months later I got a call that the laptop will not turn on. I noticed that no status lights were illuminated when the laptop was plugged in.
I disassembled and confirmed that power was getting to the motherboard.
After reassembly I decided to leave the battery and the RTC coin battery removed and held the power button for 30 seconds to drain the caps.
I then plugged in the laptop (without the batteries), and noticed...
Hello everyone. Looking for the schematic for this laptop:
