Hmm sorry my bad , you are correct. I was basically trying to say that haha.
But the only thing he will measure on the powersupply is the EV5V and not the STB5V ( Just looking at the connector ) , even though it might be the same voltage its not present when just the mains is plugged in.

Anyways , you still got a bad mainboard because you never get any voltages on the connector besides EV5V.

Its hard to find a mainboard for this set , if you can find a ST50 mainboard you might be lucky because the panels are the same. It might have less USB or HDMI ports etc. Also make sure connectors are the same. Make sure you can return the board if it does not work.

What happened with the tv in the first place?
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

Re: Power Supply only showing STBY 5V - What could this mean?

EV5V (connector P6 PIN 6) IS the STB5V PIN 6 of the P6 connector, it is an always ON 5V. Pin 6 on the board is printed as STB5V.
He still need to find out if the power supply board is sending the STB5V_SW_ON command signal to turn on the stb+1.1 and stb+3.3V or not so to me if the 1.1v and 3.3v are not present then the main board will not function..

The TV is at the end of my bed and it's hooked up to the PC. Usually I watch or listen to something before falling asleep and the PC will go into sleep mode.

I woke up one morning and saw the 3 blink error code.

I knew something must have overheated. I won't be leaving the TV on all night like that again.

Appreciate all your help. I will try find a replacement board (not holding my breath) and will inform you of the result.

So which replacement board are you going to get? At this point we do not know if the power supply board is sending the STB5V_SW_ON signal to the main board or not.

I was looking at getting a ST50 mainboard.

I asked a supplier if it would work and this is what they said:

"It should work, but it won't provide the functionality of your's original board.
            You will have:
            2 usb instead of 3,
            3 hdmi instead of 4,
maybe incompatibility with your broadcast tv system (satellite system should be compatible),
software limitartions such sa lack of THX CINEMA, THX CINEMA BRIGHT ROOM, PROFESSIONAL presets, maybe other software simpifications,
if your tv has 2 fans you wont be able to connect them because this board has not fan connection slots.
            So for your own consideration.
You should understand that my board is from cheaper tv set."

I'm not going to get the ST50 mainboard now; it doesn't sound ideal.

I will just replace the TNPH0988 TXN/A1----- mainboard with same product code.

What would your guess be on which board has failed?

What would you suggest I should test for?

Thank you kindly. Your help greatly appreciated.

Ok so when I run the power supply by itself i still get 4.47v, but now I'm seeing 0.09V at the bottom pins.

When I have the all the boards connected and turn it on and quickly test the bottom pins they give me voltage, but slowly descends to 0 voltage.

The pin we need to test is pin 5, STBY5V_ON (STBY_SW_ON in the diagram).

There is no voltage on that pin at all, whether the power supply runs by itself or with all boards connected.

As explained in my post 22, the Voltage should be present on that pin to turn on the rest of the Standby power supply on the main board, that is my theory based on the diagram. So you have two choices, it is either main or power supply board unless some one else has the same power supply board to verify the Voltage at that pin 5 STBY5V_ON.

The mainboard must be at fault then. I already replaced the power supply and get the same results.

Ok so I finally got my hands on a second hand main board. Now when I turn on the TV it all works fine until the TV turns itself off about 5 minutes view time. I get a 11 blink code. The Panasonic chart suggests it's the Fan SOS on the main board. I can't even see a fan on the main board or even on the TV itself. Any suggestions will be awesome.

Do you know which model the replacement board came from? Its a good chance that model did have a fan, If thats the case it may be possible to change the information in the service menu, or maybe not.

The barcode sticker for your main board PCBA as shown in your picture has these numbers:
                                    TXN/A1PAUAVV60, THA3109AR2030015

                                    Your replacement board:
TXN/A1NYUAVV, TNPH0988 (this number printed on the board is the PCB (blank circuit board) P/N.
So it does not look like to be the same PCBA to me.
The blank board can be stuff hundreds ways to create hundred PCBA (Printed circuit board assemblies) for many TV models.

You indicate in post 3 as:

I do not know what the difference between the two TV models are.
