I have this same model TV, with the 2 long, 5 short blink code. When disconnecting ribbons from T-Con to panel, TV powers up with back light.. Does this mean I have a bad LCD panel!??!Comment

Yes most likely. Can you connect one side at a time and get half of a picture?Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

Yes thanks, if I just have left ribbon plugged in, I'll get left 1/2 of screen, right side will cause the error. Is this panel like the Vizio's where you can tear off the side tab bonds?Comment

Yes there are side tabs, but not boards attached to them. Same principle thou. If it is in fact a side gate tab problem. But at your stage since it appears your LCD panel is shorted you have nothing to loseDid I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.

First of all I am not native English speaking, so sorry for potential mistakes or misunderstanding.
I have a basic multimeter and a soldering iron. No electronic pieces for replacement for the moment, but I can buy some.
I have a Sharp Aquos LC-40LE810E with issue.
When I turn on my TV with the remote control, I have 2 long flashing on the boomerang symbol, and no image/no sound.
I saw in the service manual that I need to click on « menu » button of the remote control to have more information.

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I like to tinker with Sony electronics, I have been lucky trouble shooting sony stuff, But I can't find much info on this Sharp TV.
The problem; plug to power>white led power indicator light is on>it turns on to the red Sharp logo>
then the android logo is displayed, lit fine then the android logo brightness varies, then lit normal, then the tv restarts and does the same startup logos over and over for 5 times then it turns off and the power indicator light flashes the trouble code 3 long blinks plus 3 short blinks .

I've got a Sharp LC-55N7000U. It has a standbuy LED when plugged in, but powering it on causes it to blink 1 LONG and 5 FAST. Theres no display and no backlight.
Nothing I checked has that blink pattern for Sharp TVs and there's only one multi-button on the TV itself so that service menu trick involving the input button doesn't work either. Its a post-Hisense buyout TV so that probably makes sense lol
I've tried disconnecting the panel sides from the TCON alternating sides, but no change in behaviour even when the whole TCON is disconnected,... -
Just picked up this sharp tv not too long ago and it started not wanting to start the other day, giving me the notorious 2 long-5 short blink pattern indicating a power issue. I was able to force start it a handful of times (once the tv has fired up it has no issue running for 5+ hours). But now as of yesterday, no matter what I try to do button combination wise, I just receive the same blinking code.
So I busted into it and have done the following:
-Removed the power board and inspected for any bad caps, burn spots etc. Do not see any instances of such ...
