What are the type of Led's used in vestel and in lg screens?


Does anyone know the type, color of the leds used on them? I remember reading a post here with few aliexpress links but I can't find it.

Thanks for the link. I think there is also another type of leds that is used on LG, 6v. Do you have a link for that?

no i did ask budm that question myself but he hadnt had to order any so not sure to be honest.
maybe aliexpress do something like this 7030 size i think but not sure on the colour

As so far as colour goes...I think WHITE is the standard colour for LED backlights for TVs and Monitors.....Some displays like temperature guns and other Instrumentation equipment, where you have to read off a panel, use BLUE LEDs for their backlights.

sorry i should of worded the above post better regarding colour, i see some list cool white, warm white, etc etc its just which one but as you say looking at the panel specs or led strip it self may give a indication on which type is fitted

Yes...I would go for the WARM white though, if I had to make a guess.

anyone know if the shopjimmy led strips are new or pulled from smashed screen sets i was just curious as if pulled from sets these may fail shortly after fitting hence i would rather buy the leds and replace all in one go yes takes extra time but should last longer if backlight etc turned down

So far I have been lucky. In that I have repaired all of my backlight issues using the 'ReeceyBurger123 Stacking Method' from LEDs salvaged from TVs with broken screens. I would turn down the backlight setting to 70% and return to owner. Even with LG edge backlights. So far I've had no call backs. I never had the cause to buy 'new' LEDs, thus far.

Cool white I think is what you want. They are on the bluer side. Warm white are on the yellow side. Color match seems to be a problem though. I have bought two batches and one was a good match and the other was noticeably yellower. Also note that anode and cathode can be reversed. At least some Samsung have there anode on small pad.

I use Cool white. The large pad-small pad is also important since the large pad is where the substrate is at for heat dissipation to the copper pad, so make sure to use the correct one, the SAMSUNG LED is the reverse of the LG LED.

I use the same method, but I have run out of led's and new vestel strips cost 12$ (10-12 led), with that money i can buy 200 individual leds.

I have gotten those above. I found them problematic as the pads are wavy and hard to place without shorting out. You might look at these. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/UNI-...498642457.html Worked good for me but haven't done long test on them yet.

I have been using SAMSUNG on the SAMSUNG panel and LG LEDS for other LCD panel and so far so good on both of them but then it may have something to do with setting the backlights @ 60~70% range.

I started with the stacking method but then went to replacing individual led's. With just a few different types you can repair a lot of different strips. Plus I get more satisfaction replacing led's instead of whole strips.
