    HISENSE F42K20E 158308 not turning on

    Hi,
    Just finished repairing a Hisense f42k203. It is the 150308 and E120111.
    Checked P/s voltages with only red led on {would not turn blue}
    XP902 connector
    stb = 3.7v
    5v = 5v
    12v = 12v
    PWM= 0v
    sw = 0v
    18v = 18v

    xp902 had 131v on +1 pin

    Tried EEPROM but that did not work

    While looking for another main board noticed the N4 regulator was very discolored. Checked it out AZ1080D and replaced it with UZ1080L and TV fired up perfect. Also put the original EEPROM back in and it worked perfect.
    The N4 input of 5v was right on and a perfect 3.3v output. Noticed it was still getting very hot so i put a small heatsink on N4.

    Nice Hope it keeps working though. Wouldn't think it should get so hot unless something downstream is drawing excess current. Maybe check components around it getting hot also.
    I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

      Something is still drawing too much current, keep an eye on it.

        Re: HISENSE F42K20E 158308 not turning on

        Thanks for the reply. TV is still going. Temp. on regulator is around 120f. Maybe a little hotter closer to the 3.3v output on board. I have seen a few other boards with the same discoloration on N4 . I think Bud is right that something is drawing too much current. Maybe if someone has one of these tv's they could let me know how Hot N4 is getting on their TV and if they sense it has overheated.

          Here is a board from ebay with same problem. N4 is between the tuner and cpu in center of board. az1084d

              pulled caps around N4 c311,c48,c46 are 10uf low esr c50 and c47 are .1uf c18 is 4.6uf low esr R28=110 ohms r29=180 ohms r79=4.7k r80=4.6k

              TV is still working fine except n4 heat The STB is 3.7v so with no schematic don't know if that is correct.

                Could it just be a trashy design which runs the regulator hard?

                What if there was too high ripple going into it?

                  93C46 and 93C56 EEPROM
                  by SidneyCanadas
                  I tore apart my instrument cluster for my 2008 Toyota Corolla made in 2007 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and pcb location: IC6=EEPROM is a surface mounted device with part # of 93C46W7, some claim the EEPROM out of a Camry part # 93C56 will allow odometer to roll over 299 999 KM or miles. The data sheet for both is below:

                  Anyone know if the Camry one will work on my Corolla?. And which EEPROM reader/writers do you all recommend I purchase that will allow me to read the old values of the old...

                  Hisense TV 32D33 - Replaced EEPROM, now menus have no text
                  by NYKing
                  The TV initially had a steady (not flashing) red standby light but did not turn on when power button was pressed. I tried all the usual “fixes” but nothing worked. TV would not turn on. After researching the issue, I concluded the cause was a bad EEPROM chip. I ordered the appropriate chip from ShopJimmy:

                  https://www.shopjimmy.com/hisense-32...hoCOcUQAvD_BwE

                  I took off the old chip using my hot air station and soldered on the new chip. I tested...

                  Hisense H8G not turning on, only slow blinking white LED
                  by frannyjunk
                  These Hisense H8G series (or Q8G if you are in Canada) tv appears to have a common failure of the main board. Many posts on Reddit without a solution. Mine is a 55" tv hence the 55H8G model (TV comes in 50, 55, 65 and 75". Corresponding models are 50H8G, 55H8G, 65H8G and 75H8G). Symptom is that the tv will not turn on, only a slow blinking white LED near the on button on the tv. Has anyone found a repair for the main board? I can buy a replacement main board, but would prefer to repair my main board. Thanks.

                  Pioneer DEX-P99rs "No EEProm " diagnostic code.
                  by dmccul2698
                  Hello, My head unit developed strange behaviors so I ran the built-in diagnostic package which returned "No EEProm". The service manual says there is no EEProm connected. I approached Pioneer and they said to swap out the DSP board. All said and good but the DSP board is $860 USD. I am hoping someone can help me

                  1). Understand the schematic and check the connections between the EEProm and DSP
                  2). Check the functionality of the EEProm

                  I don't know if this is the unit's problem but it's a place to start.

                  I have little to no electronic experience...
