Good day folks, so the title pretty much explains it: got this Samsung UE32F5300 which doesn't display any picture. The backlight comes on just fine (you can see it through the holes in the back), but there's no picture at all, no logo or anything. The TV appears to be working, because I can hear some beeps when using the remote, to which it responds perfectly as well. Entering the service menu made no difference (INFO>MENU>MUTE>PWR). Is it the T-con that's bad or perhaps the panel ? The fuse on the T-con is fine and I get 12v after it. Would it be worth buying a new Tcon for it or is the fault likely somewhere else ? :|

Re: Samsung UE32F5300 blank screen, backlight OK (bad t-con?)
Just replaced ISL9860 and same thing unfortunately. Even worse, it blew the fuse this time and I get a short between GND and that VCC1.2v test point, even with the ISL and FET201 removed. Admittedly, my mate didn't do that good a job at soldering the new ISL in place, so it's possible that some of the pins touched each other *gulp*...Wattevah...

Also a little 'loupe' as or any visual magnifier is getting to be a must. Things are still getting smaller and unfortunately my eye sight isn't anymore that what it used to be either.Wattevah...
