    Panasonic TX-P42S20E

    Hi,got this plasma with 6 and 8 red flashes and with a vertical stripe

    6 are when i dissconect the ss board

    8 when all is connected

    the stripe is on left side of TV,I have unpluged the flat cable behind the stipe
    but nothing changed (exept the 6 & 8 blinking codes)

    any advice to go further

          Please take some pictures of all the boards and a total picture of the backside of the tv.
          I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

            Well first thing is to check SC board, you can find plenty of info on board, check SC2 for shorts, also Q661.

              True but if he wants help then he needs to provide good info with pictures. It's either SS or SC board as Hobre says but even a bad SC20 cable can give 8 blinks.
              I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

                Hes provided fuck all info for us so can't really help atm. Hopefully OP uses bcn and google to find out how to test voltages etc and find shorted susboards. Im not repeating threads.

                  Hello,sorry for no reply (was on a field work for a long time) ...

                  Meanwhile my friend give up the fixing of this tv ...

                  Now i'm searching for a screen for a LG,but found a TX-P42S30E with a broken screen ...

                  The question is does this screen match for the TX-P42S20E to change from one to another ...
