Our 52" Model # 52RV520U has sound but no picture. Turns on. Green light is lit at bottom of TV face but screen is black. Which panel of the three major one in back of TV would need to be replaced? Appreciate any help or advice.
This happened when our Dish service was giving us issues. The picture was freezing (just like you paused it) and was in that mode for a while as the Dish techs were in basement trying to diagnose the problem. When they left the basement flat screen was working but the Regza in upstairs living room ended up black screen with sound. No menu, nothing. You can even change to different channels but only get sound. At first I thought it was just a coincidence. I moved smaller flat screen from down stairs to living room until I could repair the Regza. The Dish issue returned that evening and I had dozed off. When the freeze issue happened in the past I would simple return to previous channel and it would start working again. I never let the screen frozen for a long period. Doubt that 2 sets would have same coincidence. Now I have two newer TV's with sound and no pic. I haven't torn into that one yet. I see the various panels in back of the Regza for sale on line at decent prices. If someone could clue me in as to which one has the issue it would be great. Thanks!
