    Samsung PN58B650s1fxza clicking

Hey there all Hope everyones well, Ok I know this tv has been gone over in the threads a couiple of times and trust me I have read them over and over and am still having issues with this tv . It does the norm clicks when you turn it on, cycles through shuts off then clicks back on, I get NO pictures (sound: havent hooked any source to it yet) I have tried the unplugging of the Y main, does same thing. I have tried the X-main off ,still nothing. Both unplugged, nothing.
I have tried the PSon and the VSon jumped with a resistor, pins 3 & 4 jumped on logic board and lvds cable off, and still nothing. If I unplug power to main/video board with said adjustments made, TV doesnt even come on. I ested the Y-buffer boards didnt seem to show a short there .
ok I have tested the V's on the plugs and will list them . Can someone please help me to see what I am doing wrong here . I am just a hobbyist here and couldnt pass up a free 58" tv. Thank you in advance. Hopefully we can figure this thing out.

Try heating the mainboard thoroughly with a hair dryer and see if symptoms change. There is a known fault in the "A" series where a surface mount tantalum cap fails and causes similar problems - don't know if it carried over at to "B" series. Check the board for any NEx AS7 caps and if present solder a 47uf 10v electrolytic across them. Good luck.

Thank you for the info!!!! As I was looking acrossboard for the Cap you spoke of I found this Lil spot and took a picture of it. It is located at the far right , top of main board by the screw hole.
I circled it in red on main board.

That doesn't look good...That is your problem right there...If you can replace it that should fix your issue...if not get the new Main Bd as first intended.

Yea looks like it, Thanks. I am trying to read numbers off it, can't quite make out the bottom numbers and letters. I am going to try and fix anyway and see what happens, maybe get a working board out of it, Thanks.

Check the resistance between LX pin and GND to see if it shows low resistance (<100 Ohms).

Installed new main board and TV powers up normal of course without a picture , but all voltages are where they are supposed to be per the panel specs. I am not sure about the sound as I have no source plugged in. What would my next move be? If the picture on these plasmas wasnt so spectacular they wouldnt be worth the weight in donuts. but that is just my opinion.

So , do I need a source hooked to this to get an active screen or do you think this main board is bad also? It does have the normal 1 second blink and all the voltages are right where they need to be ? any suggestions? Thanks
