Hi all - looking for some help resolving an issue with my parents' LG Plasma - it's a 2010 manufactured LG 60PX950-AA
Initially we lost HDMI inputs, which wasn't an issue as they never needed them, however, more recently it started to fail with sound but no picture, first, after around 30-60 minutes of viewing, but now the panel doesn't power up at all. Dad ordered and replaced a YSUS board, however, I have since come to understand that the old and new boards may not be compatible. I'm now looking for assistance in identifying and replacing the component responsible for the lack of video. I suspect it's related to power to the panel. I'm comfortable working with electronics, but my knowledge of TVs is limited to turning them on and changing channel
Board IDs are as follows:
PSU: EAX61432501/9
CTRL: EBR70137601
ZSUS: EBR63450501
YSUS: EBR70503101
Panel is a PDP60R1033
I have placed the original YSUS back in place
Va measures 60V on the test point on the PSU, which is in spec with the panel.
Vs measures 203V on the test point on the PSU, which is in spec with the panel.
While testing, I noted that the panel seems to be “powered up” - i.e., there's a glow on the panel which disappears as you turn it off.
Any guidance would be appreciated
