    Chinese supplied IGBTs

Another report on some parts I got from E-BEST TRADE.

Previously they too had fake 30F131 which blew.

I've used them for buffer ICs , no issue there and also up until now the RJP30H2 were originals.

Not any more. Also ordered 2 x FGD4536 . They too definitely fake and measure quite different.

Have a good look at the images.

For the FGDs, the 2 on the left are the same batch number ,one has a centre marking, the other not andthe marking is not of original as seen on the right. Also look at the tab and the notch.

You can also see the sanding marks and the Fairchild logo also is incorrect.

The RJP30H2, two left supplied and original on the right. Even more obvious the sand marks, missing centre stamp, the edges on the original are cut down where the fakes are not and one is sanded so much the edges have been rounded.
Most likely restamped parts, I expect the RJP to work the FGD I'm real suspicious.

    Re: Chinese supplied IGBTs

Yup , i also bought cheap FGD4536 from ebay/china and they blew up my sc board which i cant repair anymore...

I'll stick with the Original ones from mouser although they are not available at the moment.

So we got cheap fake 30F131 / RJP30H2A and FGD4536 IGBT's. Any parts we can replace them with?

The ones from mouser all work fine. The ones from china are fake and blow up the sc board.

The ones from mouser are cut on both sides , the ones from china are not cut.

I bought them from china because mouser is out of stock and i dont know where else to buy them!!

Lets just say a lot cheaper then Mouser/Farnell /Digi-Key + RS and as these all show FDGs as being on back order. you do not have a lot of options. but to buy from China,I still have lots of RJP30H2s from an old order that I have been using for the last year or so.

They look just like Flockos. I will check this batch of 30 and report back.

About 90% on the stuff I ordered from china was good, the rest fakes. I did find if i found fakes, the whole order was bad.

You can try testing to see if they switch on/off ( test IGBT in diode mode, if your meter has over 3v output in diode mode),but the problem with these fakes is not the switching but the voltage and current they can handle when switching and the only way to test that is to use them in a repair, and if they blow they are no good, and if the set runs for a year or two they are good. Looking at your photos these are fake. But I think you know that already

Hi, I'm repairing this Chinese SG2701B01-7 panel. There isn't much information about it. The original part for the panel is a CSOT CS601C regulator. I can't find anything commercial on Aliexpress; there's only the CS601 without the final 'C'. They claim it's a variant. But will it be compatible? Well, my diagnosis on this screen is a video problem; the image is practically black, although there is HDMI communication. The LED light is on (backlight), but there is no VGL, no 3.3V, and no VSS. It seems that this IC is the one controlling these voltages. The monitor worked correctly for a moment and...

There are many versions of cheap Chinese ultrasonic cleaners, and a fair few share this design, with a removable tank with handle. There are also fixed tank versions which look to use the same basic layout and presumably the same PCBs.

I picked one up "spares or repair" on ebay, and the cleaner was dead, but the fuse wasn't blown.

A quick diode check revealed D7 was shorted. D7 is a 12V 1/2 Watt Zener. I had one in my stash, so this was about as close to a "five minute repair" as...

This audio chipset has been a pain to deal with, most of the time its impossible to find drivers for chinese laptops that have no name/brand, or generic rebranded laptops.
Huawei also started to use it BUT they no longer host drivers on their website since they want you to force their PC manager app that often refuses to install after bios flashing and apparently the generic drivers around wont work on some intel systems and others wont work on amd systems, the generic ones have worked only once and i think i have had this problem on 30+ laptops so far in the last year.

Car Headunit (Chinese?) No Sound / Audio
                                          by Bloopeta
Just bought a car that has a stereo in, thats bluetooth etc, and powers on fine and all functions seem to work, BUT there is no audio/sound.
I have tried another unit in the car that works fine, so know it definitely a problem with this unit.

I know it just cheap rubbish, probably of chinese origin, but its really bugging me just throwing it away and replacing it ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿคฃ

I know zero about things like this, ans its probably unfixable, or more trouble than its worth, but just wondered if there was anything to check, as what could lead to an easy-ish fix? Havnt opened...
