    Philips 58PFL9956T difficulties to start

    Hi all
I got this Philips LED-tv 58PFL9956T which is hard to start, especially when it's cool. Symptoms like bad cap but impossible to find any signs of that.
    Please see the attached pictures.
Maybe some of you have diagnosed this powersupply some time already.

    This is how it behaves:

    1. First attempt to start - 3 blinks on led continously...
    2. After a few tries the backlight might be turned on - and shut down after a second or two.
    3. After a few more tries it can actually be on forever.

    Appreciate any advice!

      No, not at all.
In my case, looks to be a PSU in pretty good shape , but similair symptom like a bad cap.
Something is bad when cold. After PSU heat up , "something" is working better.

What happens if you heat the PSU up with a hair dryer, before you turn it on?

Tried that with a heatgun. Can't find an area on the PSU, which gives a difference to behaviour.
It's tricky. Most of the control circuitry is SMD and may be shielded from heat due to big components on top side.

What are the solder joints like on the reverse side of the power supply PCB? Do they have riveted joints which can prove troublesome.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

I've went through some of the solderjoints on the two mains transformers. There is a noise coming from this part of the powersupply, crackling sound.
I've had NO luck to find anything which changes the behaviour of this powersupply.

It also can start up directly when cold sometimes, so it's not fully heat dependent
