Sounds like bad caps in the power supply. Do you have a multimeter, and can we see some pictures of the boards inside the TV?

So I should start by testing the caps on the power supply board correct?

Little reseach wouldn't harm you, run the test patterns first rule out mb.

I could be the main power supply. There is also a regulator on the heatsink that seems to fail a lot.

X1 Yoga 1st Gen Modify CPU Fan error?
              by Whale linguini
I have a 1st get x1 yoga (type 20FQ) and am having issues powering on. I will get "fan error" during post, and then the machine will shut down. I don't *think* it's the cpu fan, because it's spinning just fine, doesn't feel like the bearings are out or anything, and nothing is obstructing anything. Sometimes I have to try turning it on 20-30 times before it will finally go. It seems like this is a decently common problem. I read on a forum somewhere that someone modified their bios to delete the error so the machine will boot up regardless of the fan state.

              I can't seem...

Operating frequency for motherboard common mode inductor/filter
              by J_T
I have a question - I have replaced the PSU on my own iMac Pro. However, when removing the motherboard I knocked of a 120 OHM 30% 0.3A small surface mount common mode inductor/filter (~0602 size) in the ethernet circuit near the female RJ45 port.

The closest match I can find on Mouser is 120 OHM common mode inductor at 100MHz - my question is this frequency correct for a motherboard? The schematic for the motherboard only provides '120 OHM 30% 0.3A' and the TDK part number does not return anything in google.

Sorry, I am not experienced hence a basic question.

HP 450 g1 keeps turning on even tho I shutdown/sleep . one way to stop the turning on cycle is pressing the power button few seconds thus force powering it off. But then sometimes it does not turn on at all but next day I try again to turn it on and it turns on....

Satellite PRO A50-A Not turning on after turning off Windows
              by khelane
              Hello
              A device with specifications
Toshiba Satellite PRO A50-A is here to replace the hard drive.
The hard drive has been replaced and there is no problem, but there is another problem, but the customer does not care to fix the problem.
The device enters Windows without any problem and works, even I put pressure on the CPU and graphics, but when I turn off the system through Windows, if I want to turn it on again, the system switches, but it turns off quickly within a second, and this routine continues. It is turning on and off within a second and soon it turns off....

              VX3276-2K-mhd-2 Random Turning off
              by Rabit
Recently staring turning off more often, brightens set at 50% - monitor back side in PSU area is very warm to touch, also at front left corner getting hot.
When changed brightens set at 30% no longer turning off , and no longer I can feel any heat in this areas.

This can be signs of bad capacitors causing overheating PSU ?
