Well I guess it got overlooked . Is there anyway around this ? One of the screen drivers failed and that’s why the person got rid of the tv . I remember another tv I had where 1 of the screen drivers blew and I cut the drivers off 1 side of the screen and the tv worked for a couple years . Is there away around this being bad or does it need a new panel ?...

I believe the power supply board is working correctly but with the led strip being defective it shuts the power supply board down . So I’m going to replace the led strips and see if it works or troubleshoot it moreLeave a comment:

I got a led tester
this is what I get
Pins 1-3:145 volts
Pins 5-6:149 volts
Pins 8-9: 149 volts
Pins 11-12: 28 volts
if I did this correctly it looks like some of the led strips are shorted...Leave a comment:

Waiting on a led tester to make sure . I used an ohm meter to test black probe leg 1 red probe leg 3 and I get 0.04 ohms did the test on the other pins as well and get 0.03 ohms .
not sure if the ohm meter test works or
not but if so think I have bad leds .
If that is the case is there a safe way to remove the panel since it’s big and very fragileLeave a comment:

Without the leds plugged in I get 273 volts measured directly across the cap . With the leds plugged in I get 0.00 voltsLeave a comment:

I'm new to repairing TVs
The fuse is good on the power supply board .
I get 13 volts on 4 pins of the connector that plugs in from power board to main board .
i also get 5 volts on 1 of the pins and 1 volt on another .

The person I got the tv from said someone told her it’s either a bad board or a bad screen .

Sony XBR-55X800E
Tv turns on the about 10 secs later shuts off . I turn it on again and it shuts off .
Unplug it for awhile turn it on again 10 secs later it shuts off .
I've heard different things on this tv some say it needs a new main board others say it has a software issue .
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this ? -

I've tried swapping ribbon cables and pressing on the ribbon cables that are glued to the circuit board with no change... -

Tried unplugging 1 ribbon cable powering it up then plugged it back in and unplugged the other .
