Hello,
First post.

I aquired this tv for free today. I was told it worked great and just failed suddenly.

I took the rear cover off to find no voltage in or out of the rectifier on the power supply board. ceramic resistor/ fuse R850 is blown.

Jimmy sells a replacement power supply board for under 70 bucks.

My question is, thats a lot of money to spend to find more problems in a tv this old.

Does anybody have any expeience with this model that would make me feel confident that I wont find any more problems after replacing the power supply board.

Power supply board is PE0546A, it looks like it has been worked on before as it has colored sharpe markes all over it.

It may not be worth the effort and money????

It probably has shorted out components that caused the inrush current limiter resistor and the fuse to blow, these board is also known for bad relay contacts.
