    Hitachi LE55A6R9 bad panel?

This tv was made in February 2015, I can't believe it's gone out already.
I don't know if this is a t-con problem, mainboard or panel problem.
The last 3 pictures in order are: the first with both ribbons connected to the t-con, then only one side, then the other.

I know. So you don't think there is anyway it's a t-con board? They are only $8.
You can't see it in the pictures but when both sides of the t-con is connected or only the right side, you can see part of the menu jumping around on screen.
Either no signal detected or the osd.

              Ordered a t-con. For $7.88 I'll know for sure.

The used confirmed tcon came in today. I'd didn't solve the problem but now it's different than it was.

That's with both sides of the tcon hooked up. The right side bounces.

This is with just the left side hooked up. The display alternates its position around the left side of the screen.

Still think it's a bad panel?

                    Bad panel.
BTW, do not run the new T-CON too long, the bad panel may damage your new T-CON board.

I thanks bud. The tcon was $8. 20% restocking fee and I have to pay return shipping. No point in saving it.
Would you think it's ok to sell the psu and mainboard?
Or do you think mainboard could also be the problem?

TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?
                        by x_orange90_x
Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
                        by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

General Questions on the Relationship Between Mainboard, TCON and Panel
                        by mmartell
My goal here is to be able to use boards on hand to swap into faulty sets when the faulty board is not obvious.

I will start by asking what is the format of the output from the mainboard and is it generic in any way or does it vary by manufacturer and/or model ?

And as far as I know a tcon and panel must be a matching pair because the timing of the signals and the voltages required to drive the panel are specific to the panel itself. (That may be a blanket statement that isn't true in some cases where the panel creates its own sub-voltages on its panel boards?)...

Request: Firmware for Hitachi 42HXT12U (Vestel 17MB95M, VES420UNDL Panel)
                        by Bazilwrc164
                        Hi all,

I’m looking for a USB firmware file or EEPROM dump for a Hitachi 42HXT12U TV.

The mainboard is a Vestel 17MB95M, and the screen panel is VES420UNDL.

I recently replaced the mainboard with another 17MB95M, but it’s programmed for an LC420DUJ panel, and I’m getting no picture. I’d like to flash the correct firmware via USB or update the EEPROM if needed.

                        If anyone can provide:
                        • A working USB firmware file (like upgrade_loader.pkg or mb95_m.bin)
                        • Or a compatible EEPROM dump
                        ...

Amazon Fire TV Omni K24NE5 tcon or panel bad?
                        by Lee M.
TV came on with BL on but blank screen. Disconnected one of the ribbon cables from tcon to panel driver board and now I have half of the screen working normally. Any way to tell if the problem is with the tcon or the panel driver board or the panel itself? Should I just replace the tcon and see what happens?
