Hello, I am looking for some more guidance on this issue. I will list what is going on and what has been attempted.
1. Screen went black while viewing, audio stayed operational. Tried with the remote to go to menu or input modes and nothing will appear on screen.
2. Visually checked all pc boards for swollen caps or burnt components, etc. and the only thing I saw was a small "brown mark" between two components on the power supply board, I will try to attach a photo. The white out area of the photo is merely a vendors name.

when I did this I also had a black screen.
4. When I turn the tv on the red led on the front of the console acts as it always did and I get the "turning on" chime, and the turning off chime when it is powered down.
5. On the logic board, when the tv is on the green led flashes for approximately 3.5 seconds and then will be off for approximately 1.5 seconds
I had trouble figuring out how to release the ribbon cables and ended up damaging the connector for I on the main board so I know for sure I need that board (lesson learned!)...while I wait for it does anyone have any troubleshooting steps to try please? Thanks so much in advance.

....I still may tinker with it to see if I can get it going...it made no sound when it went it the screen just went dark...any reference you can give me on where to check voltages and what I should be seeing? I do have an electrical background, thanks!
