Emerson LF501EM5F No Power

Just picked this up today. I have no Power at all. The main fuse at the power connector tests good. Really just trying to get an idea of where I should start to test from here. All the Caps look good, can't find any resistors or diodes that look burnt top or bottom of the board. I was told that it went out during a thunderstorm. That is why I was thinking I would see something burnt up and have an easy fix. Any help, tips or pointers on where to begin or anyone know what values are where would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

check what the voltage is accross C1621 (160v or 360v) , also check the voltage accross C605
there are 2 rows of resistors r610-611-614 and r624-625-626, check the voltage at the end of r614 and r626 (using HOT ground [-] of c605) there should be around 12 or more volts. Its hard to tell from the picture but check the solder connections on Q1601
you may need to look up the number of ic601 and see if its voltages are o.k.

Do have 160VDC between the two legs of the main big filter cap in the middle of the board? You can run the power supply board by itself.
If you closer at the black connector you will see jumpers with labels telling you what the Voltages are, there are also labels on the bottom side of the board.
There are threads about this model that you should look through first to see what Voltages you should see.

C1621 and C605 I am getting 169V. R614 130.6V R626 1.4V by PFC_GND, and the other side is 53.1V . Would this be where my problem is? Have not gotten to ic601 yet. Thanks for the reply

You need to check the DCV at these jumpers when power switch is activated:
J239: P-ON-H2
J209: RESET
J211: LED-cont
J257: BL-SW
J258: PROTECT3
J249: BL-ADJ

Checked for voltages on these that were marked differently on this board, but I am getting no voltages at all. Also I do not get a blue or red light at all on the front of the TV and the Power button does not seem to be working either.

Yes nothing at all. I did change the 2.5 a fuse right where power comes in just to be sure it was good. But I am getting 170V from the 2 main capacitors.

Can I see the model number sticker on the back cover of the TV so I can see if there is chassis number on the sticker to look for the manual?

BTW, if you run the power supply board by itself without the flat cable to the main board connected, do you get the ALL.3.3V?

The main one will be the ALL 3.3V jumper, we need that standby Voltage first.

sorry budm and sikora i was going of the board number in post 14 so not sure which is the correct one maybe send a email to shop jimmy/ebay seller to comfirm its it the right one for your board etc .
