    Samsung UN50EH500FXC

    Hello
I am at a loss. I bought the TV knowing the following:
There is sound but no picture but I have back lights
The previous owner has changed the T Con board however didn't keep the old board.
I have changed the main board with no change.
I have changed the power supply board with no change.
I am sure that the key to this problem is that there is no video and that is why I changed the main board.
Would anyone suspect the T Con board or possibly one of the cables.

Your input and thought would be greatly appreciated.

    Bruce

Did you inspect the ribbon cables on the tcon to make sure that they are seated properly?
Do you also get 12vdc at both ends of the fuse of the tcon board with ref. gnd.?
What do you get on the screen if you have one cable between the panel and the TCON connected one at a time?

Please also remember your replacement boards can be faulty in the same was as your originals are not all sellers test them, also did the seller replace the tcon with a exact match?

        Well here is an update.
After some additional research and some help from some people much smarter than myself I think I might have solved the problem. As I had mentioned the T Conn board was replaced by the previous owner. When you do a search for P/N BN96-28859A you get a T-Conn board that this P/N is nowhere to be found. After some emails I was directed to closely look at the #'s on the sticker on the back of the board and there you will find 28859A in the start of the string of#'s. My question would be "are these boards compatable being as they have the same #'s on the front of the board or is there perhaps programing differences on the chip. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

The important numbers are the numbers printed on the barcode sticker.
This TV model uses more than one LCD supplier, and even with the same LCD maker they will use different model LCD panel.

So you need to look at the LCD panel model number and look at shopjimmy site.

My thoughts are that if the previous owner changed the Tcon board, is the replacement the correct one for that set?

                Re: Samsung UN50EH500FXC

Thank you everyone for your help. I have been able to find out that there are two T-Conn boards that are recommended for this panel. M$35-D094303-L$VR333507XP02 this the one that I have and the other starts with 28859A so I am going to take a chance and order it. If nothing else I will have a lot of spare parts for sale.

Update I ordered the T-Conn board with 28859A at the start of the # on the sticker from SJ and they sent me a different board which didn't work as well. I need to have confirmation from someone as to the correct T-Conn board for this TV since I don't have the original failed board to compare to. Any help would be appreciated.

                      Re: Samsung UN50EH500FXC

Look at the Panel No. and search for a T-CON suitable for that Panel.
As budm pointed they have same Model Nos. but different Panels therefore different T-CONs.
