Are the Plasma Panels in Panasonic TVs TH-P42X30D and TH-P42XT50D Interchangeable?

Can I replace the plasma panel in TH-P42XT50D with the plasma panel in TH-P42X30D. I have noticed both the panels have the same resolution 1024x768 and 600Hz Driver. The location of the ribbon cables on the panel are also identical. Do I need to verify anything else before I replace the panels?.

Here is the pcb layout from the service manuals.

The TH-P42X30D is having a faulty power board (power-board blown up due to surge in the mains electric line). I have not tested the panel ... do you think the blown power board might have damaged the SS or the SN board or the A Board along with it. The power board and the SS board are separate in this model where as in TH-P42XT50D the power-board and SS board are fused together in a single PCB.

The TH-P42X30D was diagnosed by a local panasonic technician and he reported a faulty power board. But he did not have a spare working power board for the model to confirm it. He opened the unit, checked the power lines with a multi-meter and concluded a blown up power-board.

Do you think it is worth the effort to try ... removing the panel and putting it in TH-P42XT50D.

why don't you try and place the boards in the working panel? If the wholes all line up then just try that and if it works , replace the panel.
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

          Good idea ... Moreno.
Removing all the boards and putting it in other tv is a tedious process but still much less then effort for removing the front glass

There is a little bulb like valve on the top right of the Plasma panel like we find in thermo-flasks. This valve is clean and no sign of any shade of burn-out. So Can I assume that the panel is good and working?.

                Sell or Shim Solar panels?
                by eccerr0r
Well, due to my grid tie inverter not accepting high voltages, and the fact that the lions in my solar panels are 36V (72-cell) I think I need to stick with 72-cell.

However I have a few smaller panels that are 36, 32, and two 30-cell. The 36 and 32 together run at 75% efficiency (and subtract more with additional inefficiencies) when running in parallel with the 72-cell panels. The kicker is that the two 30s... generate 0% power when connected in parallel(!)

So now what to do with these small panels?

                I could sell them...

                Or I could shim them....

somebody familiar with hasboard repairs? BM1397AD interchangeable with Bm1397AG ? S17+ and T17+
                by stormanimal83
i got myself a complete Antminer T17+ with 3 dead hasboards for a very good price.... for parts i bought S17PRO boards.... i replaced all missing resistors and changed some asics because they were bad... but wihout a tester... i used the miner instead and changed firmware to awesome miner firmware for better and faster diagnoses via miner log and lower fan speed...

for my understanding and what i read on the internet these asics should be interchangeable in one chain but in my case i´m getting no more communication to none of the asics on all 3 boards. 2 of the boards weren´t in...

                Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV
                by ArMaaN376
                Hello,
I am having Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV. While the TV was working, a crackling sound heard & video went off with audio still ON. After switching it off & ON, the red LED on TV blinks six times & then off.
Opened TV cover & observed foll
                a) Green LED on the small PCB blinks at @5-6sec ON & off for 3-4 secs. Red LED on logic board ON
b)Vs & Va on power supply board raises momentarily to 209v & 58v resp & then drops.
                c) Cold test on Y-main board shows all 3 pins of FGPF4536 IGBT short to Grnd.
How to confirm Y -Buffer board...

                Panasonic plasma TX-P42ST50 - 6 blinks
                by jm1234
                Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults...

Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
                by KYBOSH
Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...
