Samsung LN46A650A 1FXZA dark screen

Just scavenged this one and this is what I have is a darker screen, where some level of image is visible. I do get an audio tone when it starts up. Have not had the time to remove the back and check caps in PS or other boards. Backlights on both side seem OK, looking in from the back.

Any suggestions as to what to look for?

Some models of the SAMSUNG will be in the dim mode until you have the video sources. Also look at the user setup menu to see if it has ambient light sensing function that adjust the backlights level based on room lights.

So wait, is part of the Lcd darker ?
