Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
plug all leads back in and screw the psu back down turn your tv on put your multi meter on dc volts then put the black probe on one of the psu mounting screws then with the red probe test the voltages on that connector are they numbered? pin 9 is 5v stby there are two rows of pins on that connector so maybe easier to push the red probe down the side of each wire where it goes into the connector it should read voltages ok doing it that way.Last edited by vinceroger69; 10-31-2017, 09:51 AM.

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
basically cn4 and cn3 means two different connectors can be fitted to that pcb yours is classed as cn4 if you cant find pin 9 for now just test all the voltages i have added a picture so you maybe able too work out pin 9Last edited by vinceroger69; 10-31-2017, 09:57 AM.

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
just tried on 1.5v "C" Duracell and meter ok on DC setting?
I also tried testing the diodes and I think they're ok (but this is the first time I've tested a diode).
the capacitors look ok but haven't tested them.
the TV wouldn't switch on and had no standby light.Last edited by fnets; 11-01-2017, 11:40 AM.

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
thats ok then start with page one of this thread and follow each step, my guess its the same ic thats failedin this thread, see how far you get and what voltages you get etc but if that ic has failed its probably why you are getting no voltages on that connector

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
a common failure on these power supplies U202 FAN6300 SMPS IC if this ic is cheap enough and you can solder ok i would probably just change the ic but if i was fault finding this board i would just follow this thread step by step and see if it points too that ic being faulty.
