    Picture fault on le40m86

    Hi guys.
I'm probably answering my own question here but I have the above mentioned set that had the clicking fault. I replaced the bad caps and the tv powered up. I noticed however the freeview wasn't working so I removed the main AV and replaced the eeprom.
Fired tv back up and now the picture is all funny, pink and purple etc. So I immediately thought tcon gone down t400hw01 as it suffers a similar fault.
Replaced tcon. Fault still there, tried new main AV, fault still there, tried a different psu and fault still there.
Just seems odd that it was fine until I changed the eeprom. I even tried another eeprom and fault still there.

Any ideas? Or shall I concede and say it's the panel?

    Thanks in advance

' I replaced the bad caps and the tv powered up. I noticed however the freeview wasn't working so I removed the main AV and replaced the eeprom. ' So before replacing the EEPROM, do you get good pictures using other Video sources?

May be you have to get into the service menu setup screen (MUTE, 1. 8, 2, POWER) and check the panel setup, LVDS signal format, etc. May be the EEPROM was not made for that TV chassis.
It has wrong GAMMA Voltages right now.

Tv clicks to come on as soon as you hit 1. I normally do info menu mute power. Is that same?

The picture looks similar to what happened to me recently when I changed a mainboard. I had to replace the SPI chip from the old board onto the new board then everything was back to normal.

The Mute, 1, 8, 2, power may not work with your model I am not sure.
I do not expect the TV to come on when you hit '1'.
It should come on only after you enter the last button which is the power button.
BTW, the panel cannot cause that off color like that.

In a lot of cases the Eprom has to be programmed for the board and that could be your issue. Some places sell the Eproms already programmed for the set you need it for.

Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                                      Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                                      First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                                      Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

                                      93C46 and 93C56 EEPROM

I tore apart my instrument cluster for my 2008 Toyota Corolla made in 2007 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and pcb location: IC6=EEPROM is a surface mounted device with part # of 93C46W7, some claim the EEPROM out of a Camry part # 93C56 will allow odometer to roll over 299 999 KM or miles. The data sheet for both is below:

Anyone know if the Camry one will work on my Corolla?. And which EEPROM reader/writers do you all recommend I purchase that will allow me to read the old values of the old...

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                                      by TR103
                                      Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                                      - sound and backlight, but no picture
                                      - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                                      - it keeps rebooting
                                      - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                                      - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                                      - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

Hisense TV 32D33 - Replaced EEPROM, now menus have no text
                                      by NYKing
The TV initially had a steady (not flashing) red standby light but did not turn on when power button was pressed. I tried all the usual β€œfixes” but nothing worked. TV would not turn on. After researching the issue, I concluded the cause was a bad EEPROM chip. I ordered the appropriate chip from ShopJimmy:

                                      https://www.shopjimmy.com/hisense-32...hoCOcUQAvD_BwE

I took off the old chip using my hot air station and soldered on the new chip. I tested...
