LG 50PJ350 turns off by itself

    LG 50PJ350 turns off by itself

    I have 50PJ350 that I was lucky enough to get for free as the person was taking out to the side of the road. It had the common power supply fault and I also replaced the ysus, zsus, and both upper and lower buffer boards since I found them for a great price. It has been working great for a few weeks now and just started to turn off by itself then constantly click with the power light also constantly flashing. The only way to stop this is to unplug the tv. If I unplug the tv for a few minutes and plug it back in the tv works fine for awhile then it goes back to turning off and constantly clicking. I'm thinking it might be the 16v 100uf cap and the fet close to the ceramic resitors. I saw that fix on a 50PK350 thread and thought that might be the problem. Does anyone have any idea why it does this?

    check again for dry joints on all boards first

      Measure the 12V line (if available) . I had a similar Problem with a PDP50H20000
      There was a 12V Regulator faulty. It only does 10Volts and decreasing. At 9.5V the Power supply switches itself off. this took 10-20Minutes till it was off.
      I replaced the regulator and all was fine.

        Got the part number of the reg and the circuit number ?

          I just went through and checked found one that looked suspect so I fixed it and same problem tv works but turns of after awhile.

            Do you know if there is a 12 vilt line on this model I have looked but maybe I just overlooked it?

                You do mean the power supply correct? The ps number is EAY60968701-EAX61397101
