so by your readings, my board readings are wrong,
i did say they did'nt look right on those caps, so the fault is before the voltage gets there, but where,??????
and no, never had 3.3v standby to start with, hence this thread.
thanks to budm, we have got as far as we have, but did'nt think it would take this long to find the problem,

Check BD2, D910 and R901 (fusible resistor). Maybe look at the schematic diagram, that Budm provided, everything is in there.

        Re: Philips 42pfl7603d/10 dead

i have now spent hours looking at the SCH and have tryed to follow it, looks stright forward, and i can see how the parts are conected and why budm has told me what to check, but have still not found the faulty item,
am i right in thinking if BD2 was at fault, then i would not have 335 volts at C902,
D910 tests ok, and R901 test ok as before.

Be careful on the primary side. Put the negative lead on the negative side of c902 and the positive lead of the DMM on pin 5 then pin 6 on that transformer. If you get high DC voltage, the primary side of the STBY circuit is o.k. And th problem is on the other side of the transformer, or the transformer itself.

OK, IC901 SMPS for the 3.3VSB is ICE3AS02, the start up Voltage at the VCC pin has to reach 15VDC which you are not getting that Voltage for the circuit to startup, so it can be the startup/running cap C912 may be bad, or the internal charge pump inside the IC is bad.
            BTW, R916, R903 are OK?

Defo not the cap, even took it out again and replaced, also the the R916 R903 check out fine to, so thanks guys for all your help, but i now feel the need to put this to bed, without a found fix, so if anybody has got a power board, they wish to sell me, at a good price, (working of cause), let me know,

Then that IC is dead. I can send you my powersupply if you pay for the shipping+a beer

Its definately working but its missing 2 blue ceramic capacitors. Board works so you can use it for parts?

The IC is the suspect at this point if the startup cap is not bad due to the fact that the VCC never reached the startup level.

                          by sam_sam_sam
I was working on this CNC machine today found no keyboard functioning no control relay powering on
The screen powered on and was giving an operation error but the manual was not very clear about what the error exactly was but with a little bit of troubleshooting and finding out that the control relays not powering on and no keyboard functions we narrowed down to this one switching power supply which of course does not have any indicator LED light they are on the keyboard interface/relay controller board

Found shorted diodes on main controller relays there are 3 of them that...

                          9V relay temperature 40C
                          by jm1234
Hi, I'm seeing one 9V relay having temperature 40C on its 9V (primary) side. Does that seem right? I switched 2 relays on that board and the temperature was the same (on the same position), so I'm sure it's not a faulty relay. I measured voltage on that relay and it was 9.5V DC, so that looks good. I don't see any other relay on that board having that kind of temperature and they have 9V on them too.
I thought maybe the transistor that is switching this relay keeps switching on/off, so I also checked for AC and there was almost none: 0.3V using mV range. No steady frequency was shown, but...

                          by edugimeno
                          Hi everyone!
I have this board that suddenly stopped supplying power to an output that drives an interchanger cleaner motor.
I checked while the board was in place with all wires attached and there's no AC voltage on the corresponding plug X5
This X5 is driven by fuse F8 (tested OK) which comes from the second orange relay
To make sure there are no charcoaled contacts inside the relay, I got a 24VDC power supply and got it ready to manually power up the coil side of these relays.
I respected the polarity, positive to cathode of protecting diode
                          So provided all...

                          Hey,

I gave up on my last TV and got a new one to try.

Only vertical lines. Sound is OK. Screen is black with a few white lines until I change channel, then these colors gradually starts filling up the screen.

Is this fixable in any way or should I just give up on this one too?...
