hi ya buddies,
cant seem to get to grips with this one, the tv is dead, was told that it went of when the electric was turned of at the mains, and would not come back on again when supply was back on.
so i get no power coming from the power supply at all, checked fuse and its good, i have then found that power is only going as far as the black relay, but this is not switching to allow power to the bridge, so had a spare working one and replaced, but still the same, so i bridged the relay and have power to the rectifier and main cap, and voltage looks ok, but still no out put, check all diodes and resisters and all seem fine, checked all caps out of the board and again all test fine., looks like im going have to remove some more bits and test them, so any ideas where to start first,

its much the SSB got bad .. standby by processor don't sent vcc.

What are the numbers as printed on the barcode sticker of the power supply board? Also is it DELTA DPS-279CP?
Can I also see the model number sticker on the back of the TV?

So there is no STBY voltage on the PSU?

We need pictures that are in focus. I can make out the 3.3VSB pin.

budm, yes that is the correct board, also got the other pics for you.
Capleaker, no stand by or any voltage at any of the pins, but untill i find out why the relay is not switching on, im not really going to get any where.

I got this exact tv in parts. I repaired it when it was not turning on. ( 4 blue ceramic caps next to the 2 backlight connectors ). I did have a white standby led if i remember correctly....i accidentally damaged the tab bonding when i removed the lcd!

So i could search for these parts and connect them together to see what voltages you need to have? Will be tomorrow evening or Saturday at first.....

So i'll follow this thread and jump in when i can!

Also with this model. The front LED ( Its a bar if i remember correctly ) can be turned OFF in the menu , so don't be mislead that you are searching for a standby led thats turned off

Reconnect those 2 connectors going to the mainboard and see if tv turns "on"?

yours memories are still good LOL, yes iPhilips as well other some brand can control the LED start or standby with menu option. but with service mode some of them.

BTW, did you check all the fuses on that power supply board?
According to the diagram you have main AC F1, and f2 fuse for the 3.3VSB power supply section.
You can test the power supply board by itself for the present of the 3.3VSB.

thanks guys, but you all forget, unless i bridge the relay (black box) im not getting power anywhere on the board, and if i do bridge it, i still have no volts at any pins,
ill have a look for the other fuses tomorrow, it gone midnight now and i have had enough for today.

No, we do not forget, you just need to understand what the TV requires to works. The standby power supply does not need the power relay, it is an always on power supply and it runs directly from the incoming AC, look at the diagram, it gets the power BEFORE the output relay contact, that power relay is for supplying the main AC for the main power supply section.
No standby power supply then nothing else will matter at this point, it must have STBY power first.

ok, fuse 2 next to relay is ok, checked for volts down to C910 SM on the bottom of board, and get 6.9v, from there i have no idea, even looking at the SCH, im lost. dont really understand them.

If you follow the STBY voltage backwards, I was able to find a diode D950 or so that was in line. I am not sure on the numbering as I looked at it yesterday.

Check the resistance of D950, ZD951, ZD902 for very low resistance in both directions.
Check the to see if you have about 325VDC between the two legs of C902.
