    Samsung ps43d490 cracked screen

    I have a Samsung ps43d490a with a cracked screen. As it is probably useless to repair I thought it would be good to learn on as I used to repair CTV's 15 years ago. The y main board has a S/C RJP63K2 FET. As I have no circuit it is guess work, and I am assuming it supplies HT for screen. Is it possible to repair boards and fire up tv WITHOUT screen connected? If anyone has circuit it would be useful.

      These Tv's womt turn on with out the Pdp connected, the controller detects that the boards are not sustaining the panel and shuts down. Also a cracked Pdp can kill the Ymain as the electrodes in the panel short out which can kill the Ymain. So either the Ymain has died or its going into protect mode because of the cracked panel.

              Yep these are some of the worst Plasma Tv's out there.

                  Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.

                  Samsung UN55J6200AFXZA Splash Screen Comes up, goes out, screen flashes one time and then tv won't turn off.
                  No picture. No sound that I can tell. Backlights are on and have been checked. Flashlight test no image on screen. I replaced the Eprom chip hoping that was the problem but nothing changed.

                  I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?

                  Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

                  My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

                  This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

                  Hi,

                  Just now my Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN monitor gave up on me. On cold boots I get many vertical stripes going across the screen (see the attached picture). After it runs for 1-2 minutes those go away but there are horizontal stripes going across the whole screen no matter of the input and PCs I use. (couldn't take an picture of it since the image size goes to 20MB and the camera doesn't pick them up)

                  In a video about a 27" monitor with an similar issue the guy removes one resistor and supposedly the entire monitor goes back to life? For sure this fix is only temporary....
