Hello all. I've previously posted about having a 10 Blink problem with my set that appeared after I replaced the faulty A Board with a "new" A Board I ordered from panasonic.encompass.com. You can see that thread here.
I've concluded that the replacement A Board is indeed bad, verified by the Service Manual troubleshooting. So now I have to order another A Board (TXN/A1MGUUS). I didn't expect to get a bad board form Encompass, as they are supposed to be direct from manufacture, but apparently deal in refurbished parts... or that may be all that's left of these since Panasonic no longer builds these sets.
Does anyone have any good resources to purchase a verified and working A Board (TXN/A1MGUUS). I see a few on eBay, though I'm a bit skeptical of buying an eBay part. The only other tip I got was for Andrews Electronics or Cumberland Electronics, both do not supply this board any more.
Second question, when talking to a (the only) local TV repair shop to order a replacement board, the tech told me that not only can they not order this part, but these boards have to be installed in a specific order, otherwise they will not work? Is this true? I can't imagine that the cables going to this board have to be connected in sequence as there is no power going to the set... this seemed like more of a deterrent to get me not to try to find and order this part.
Thanks in advance,
Mike
