    Re: Panasonic dp42d23

Hi Dick I will do that and get back to you but does anybody know where I can get a schematic for the led dp42d23 tv .It would appear that whatever is supposed to generate 12 vdc to appear at these test points on the power supply is defective .There is 0 voltage
at these test points so I came come to the conclusion my first issue is in the power supply board .

      Hello superbob8,
This is not necessarily the case. Any number of non related power supply faults could instruct the mainboard to keep the power supply in standby mode by not issuing a Power On signal. Knowing what the voltages are on the pins tends to guide you to where the fault actually is.

Willing to help but I'm no expert.

In order to help you and without the TV in front of us and having now previous knowledge of the TV you need to provide as much information as possible.
The connector I highlighted, can you list the names of the pins and what voltages are on each of them in turn. The name of the pins are written above the connector but I cannot make them out from you picture.

If you have 5v but not 12v then we need to know what voltages are on those pins. Please can you list all the pin names and what voltage you read alongside the name so as to give us a clue if it is a mainboard or power supply fault.
on every pin that is supposed to have 12 v there is 0 voltage every pin that shows 5 v has 5 volts

Panasonic TX-48CX350B backlights but white screen , blank screen
            by Chrissygizmo
Hi all, I’ve got a problem I hope someone can help me fixi.
I have a Panasonic TX-48CX350B tv , it powers up ok but the screen is blank, the backlights are working, there’s nothing else though, no picture or sound. I’m not sure what the fault is called whether it’s BLANK/ BLACK/ or WHITE SCREEN I’ve actually came across this before on a similar tv but just ended up scrapping it, I will upload pictures of the boards etc , if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
            by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

CH341a can erase and read but can't write and blank check
            by hasel17
So I am trying to repair broken thunderbolt FW on X1 Yoga Gen 2. The EEPROM chip is WINBOND 25Q80DVNIG. I already do a back-up and erase. But when I try to wrote new FW, it was successfull, but when I tried to read it, it still blank. when I try to do a blank check, it gave me instant error in address 0. I already tried two CH341A, already did the 3.3v fix mod, using AsProgrammer, NeoProgrammer, Colibri, and CH341A 1.29. But the problem still occurred. What I did wrong here? Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance. Here is the log in Colibri :

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
            by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

            Hanns.G Hi221 Monitor - Works For A Second & Then Blank Display
            by RetroComputingGrotto
I've got a Hanns.G Hi221 Monitor that works for a moment and then the display goes off but the power LED indicator remains on. If you power it off and back on again it does the same thing, it comes on and then the display goes blank. From a cold start it takes 10 seconds or so before the display goes blank but if you turn it off and then back on again after it already being on it goes blank a lot quicker so I'm assuming something is getting hot which is causing the display to go off.

I've uploaded a video of it happening on YouTube:

            I've taken the monitor...
