    Vizio VW32L HDTV40A

Just picked this tv up I pluig it in, turn it on and it comes on locked on a initial setup wizard screen and it does nothing, I have tried several remotes with it even programmable ones and nothing (TV did Not come with remote)
So I cvan shut tv off with button, then when I turn it on if I hold the menu button down the tv turns on normal. I can auto search channels and tv will run normal until I shut it off then turn it back on without holding menu button again and it will be locked in that initial screen again. weird anyone seen this before or know what couls cause it? thought maybe a ir board but havent tested anythin g inside the bacvk yet, just wondering if people have seen this .
Oh by the way i had it running normal for like 3 hours then turned off then on back to setup wizard screen again. Thanks

It seems to me that you will need the original remote to do the initial setup the first time, then it will not need to be done again.

Try a new Eeprom? Or heating (hair dryer), cooling (can of air upside down) the main board?

Not "The original " it came with No remote or stand, but I had a vizio here same tv , but it did not work with the tv and I also tried a couple programmable remotes but nada. So might open up to check the ir board , maybe even open up my working tv and swap ir out and see if that does it. Thanks

I have a 42"" same model and it came up with a blue screen and sometimes it worked and acted krazy and most times it would not respond to the buttons on the tv controls,on mine it was the 2 Caps on the invert-er board,i got new caps and tv has been working for a year now.

i have all the boards for the VW32 L in my scrap, don't what board is good or bad cause i can't use them in my VW 42L ,if you were nearby Fall River Mass i would gladly let you try them
