    Magnavox 26MD301B/F7 Volume/Buttons issue

Hello Everyone, Good to see this site up and running again. I have a Magnavox 26MD301B/F7 when I plug it in it comes on and the volume bar comes on the screen and turns itself down to zero. All buttons do not respond. The picture itself is fine but can't get volume to go up and stay up. Any ideas would be very helpful.
Posting rules say I am unable to post attachments, not sure why that is as I have posted them before but I will try to get something up here if possible.

They are push buttons, that is what it acts like but when I push the buttons they feel like they are free.

Disconnect the cable going to the buttons and see if that corrects the problem, if it does then change the button or better yet all of them.

Swap them out with some replaced buttons. I fix those on TVs all the time, it is a common failure.

Some buttons are 2 pin, 4 pin, or 5 pin (grounded) but they are mostly standard and can be salvaged from the buttons from other tv's including CRT.

Marantz SR5007 popping on volume change and mute in Direct Mode
                  by BigOof
                  Hi,

I bought a used Marantz SR5007 and it's giving me some issues that I can't seem to really place. It functions well in most settings, ARC mostly works, it has no issues driving my speakers in any of the digital input modes, but I'm having issues running analog inputs in direct or pure direct mode. For some reason in this mode there's distortion for every volume increment I give it, but once the volume is stable it has no issues. Muting creates a loud pop, switching to another source also causes a pop and so does turning off the amp in that mode. Again, no issue in the digital modes....

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
                  by rounin
                  Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

                  🛠 Original Issue
                  The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

⚠️ New Problem: One USB-C Port Only Works in One Orientation...

I need help identifying the issue with my Magnavox MDR513H dvd recorder!
                  by gilbert009
Hello! I am fairly new at repairing electronics. Recently I came across an old Magnavox MDR513H dvd/hdd recorder. It is not powering on. When the unit is plugged in, I get this really annoying beeping sound coming from the power supply.. I have already tried things like unplugging the unit for a few hours, holding the power button for a minute or 2. Nothing seems to make It work.

I found this guy with the same problem on YouTube -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFVm-SJX-S8
                  -
I checked all over this video's comments but no one really helps him with the issue. except...

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
                  by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

Alienware 15 R2 Service Tag: DL7NN32 ISSUE (Battery is not charging)
                  by Simone Vergani
                  Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with my Alienware 15 R2 (Service Tag: DL7NN32). The laptop works perfectly when connected to the AC adapter — it powers on and functions normally. However, the battery does not charge. If I disconnect the DC adapter, the laptop shuts down immediately, as the battery is at 0%. I have replaced the battery with a new compatible one, but the issue persists. I also replaced the AC adapter with a compatible one, but the battery still doesn't charge.

To assist with troubleshooting, I'm attaching two power circuit schematics:
