Samsung Model NS-32L430A11 power supply board issues

Hello, this is actually my first post. Unfortunately I'm backed up with issues that left me scratching my head but I'll start with this one. I was given a Model NS-32L430A11 LCD tv that had no backlights. I diagnosed it as a bad power supply/inverter board (LCD was working fine, just no backlight.) Instead of a new board, I ordered a kit from Shopjimmy.com that contained many of the common components that go bad in these situations. I installed everything, turned it on, and SNAP! One of the resisters that I installed shot sparks. I looked over my job and noticed that one of the power transformer points had been jumped with solder. I don't know if I did this or it was supposed to be like that, but it didn't seem right. Now, it's not doing anything. I definitely fried the new resistor but I want to fix what caused it before I install a new one. I removed the solder form the points. What do you think? Should J702 be jumped like it was? The two surrounding it were not. I'm assuming the white separating line signifies that. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

The jumper J702 is supposed to be there. Did you ever figure your problem out? Did Q701 and Q702 short out?

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
      by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

      Assuming...

      Samsung Power Supply Board BN44-00874F
      by Nicktronic
      Hey everyone,

This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.

      Anybody...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
      by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

      After all of...

Need advice testing a samsung power supply board with scope
      by repair-it
I am attempting to test a samsung power supply board to verify the pfc ic is working. I am powering up the board with my isolation transformer. The board turns on fine but when I attempt to connect the ground for the scope probe, it trips out the isolator. I was taught not to 'float my scope' so I am wondering if I should test without connecting the ground lead or would that be asking for trouble? Not sure how else to test, I don't have a portable scope. I could plug direct to mains power but that would bypass the safety factor.

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?
      by ohren
I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....
