You need to tear the panel open and resolder the connectors that look like the ones in the picture. Over time with the heat the connector develops cracks and oxidizes....

If your power supply is darfon b159-001 check cap C214 to make sure it is still good. I fixed a DP50741 which did not respond to power button or show any kind of power lights just had 5v stby voltage.

The jumper J702 is supposed to be there. Did you ever figure your problem out? Did Q701 and Q702 short out?

I just picked one of the monitors up broken, has same symptoms tries to power on then over current in the smps kicks in. Turns out to be one of the transistors (2sc5707) which drives the high voltage transformer for one of the lamps was shorted. I also noticed some small cracks in the solder around the switching MOSFET FU9024N. This may have caused the problem that once the monitor was on for a while and the solder around the MOSFET began to come loose and make a poor connection killing the switching transistor.
