sony KDL-46EX645 display issues solarization after installing replacement main board

solarization and display upside down after installing replacement main board

original issue was tv worked fine but then one day wouldnt power on and discovered hdmi port was fried......so i got a replacement board from an online tv repair shop.

replaced main board with exact part# and now the tv powers up fine but display is messed up. Sony 1-895-307-11 MBP Board (Main Board)

solarization and display upside down....i personally have never seen this issue with a lcd tv before so i have no clue what could be the cause

any help would be great

so just because it has the latest load doesn't mean anything other than it has the latest load... :-) The load can still be corrupt OR not set properly for your set. As people have suggested, reload it and see if it fixes your problem, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

According to ShopJimmy, you must update software after replacing the main board.

After changing the mainboard I had a problem, the picture and the menu for the TV were upside down. to solve it have to go into the sony service menu and change the panel model for my TV and problem solved .. thanks for the help SJ when I called.

i rotated the photo for serv menu 180 degrees since display is upside down on the tv

fyi.....the board already has the update.....i tried running the update via sony website download for kdl-46ex645 and it wont update since its already updated and it does not allow to be re-updated...there is no prompt to continue to update it just says no older version firmware found and thats it when i try to update
