    Samsung LE32A456 standby light flashing

Got this tv a week ago no power/dead, took it home and took the back of to find no power supply in it, orders a P.S. from eBay, and it turned up today, sold as fully working and tested, guess what, it ain't,LOL
After installing this board I have standby light, and try to turn on, but get 5 flashes of the light and then goes back to solid light, done a few tests and only get the 5volt standby and nothing else at all, I have also tried to force the supply on using standby and P.S. as marked on the board and still got nothing, any ideas on this ?

Is the power board BN44-00214A ?
im sure its the same fault with the LE32A457 with reference to a post i saw before try removing all of the glue as much as you can because this can become conductive over time
and check the solder joints on QB802 i think ?

+1 on removing all the GLUES.
BTW what DCV do you have for the command signals feeding this power supply board?

The 12V and the 24V are generated by the same power transformer TM801S and the drive circuits, for that section to work it needs the PFC Voltage booster circuit to function to provide about 400VDC (measured between the two legs of the main filter cap CP803 when PS-ON is present)
So you need to find out of the PFC is working or not.
The common failure for not having 12V/24V is due to the cap CM808 (18nF 630V) that lose its capacitance.

main cap gives 334 volts in standby, and no change when trying to turn on, the cap CM808 reads 18.8nf, so maybe transformer is the problem ? not sure how to test it

The PFC Voltage booster is not working, you need to get that working first. See the diagram so you can check and see if the PFC IC is getting the correct Voltage to run.

update, found the fault, it was QM802, could not see while it was on the board, but middle leg had rotted though and just fell of on removal, i may of snapped it while removing the glue, replaced with a known good unit, and it fired up, been running for half hour now, thanks for all the help guys,

Anyone had a similar fault on this model where the volume bar goes up by itself and channel changes etc etc
also cleaned all the bad glue from the power supply

Have a Samsung UE43KU6400U that will not turn on, just continuous flashing red standby light.
                              Power button does nothing

Have unplugged the mainboard, and backlights illuminate.
Have tried removing panel ribbon cables one at a time, and that makes no change.

With mainboard unplugged, all voltages from powerboard seem ok, but with mainboard connected, they never quite reach full voltage, and drop and raise in a constant loop (in time with click noise from mainboard.

Using backlight tester, I get 63.6v on both sides, so seems like no bulbs...

                              Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r...

The TV is a 2013 Samsung plasma, model # PN60F5300AFXZA.

Snagged it up in non-working condition a couple years ago. Previous owner said that sometimes he could get it to come on after repeated tries but other than that he couldn't get it to turn on.

Personally I haven't been able to get it to turn on at all. The standby light comes on solid when plugged in, but pressing the power button results in the standby light flashing once every 4 or so seconds. No "click" noises, no light from the panel at all. Just the flashing standby light.

                              No visible...

This is a set I posted about a few years ago. Replaced LED strips and worked fine until now.

Plug the set in, and it will turn on and functions with no issues.

After a while, (sometimes hours, sometimes minutes, sometimes immediately) the tv shuts off. When I approach the TV I notice the standby light is flashing rapidly, but the pulse of each flash is not long enough to notice from afar.

Other than the standby light, the unit is completely unresponsive until the power is removed and reapplied, then the cycle starts over. It does appear that the time it takes...
