My Y main dont have a spot for the C 5162. My tv was made in 2012. I see in pics here where it should be. But no spot on my board for it. Any help would be great

Can someone explain why vsc goes to -65.5v when I reconnected the buffer boards?
I also had the cable disconnected from ysus to logic board

With buffer boards disconnected vsc is -12.65v

thats odd your board doesnt have a location for the blue cap
maybe its a different revision

have you tried spraying freeze spray on the ic chip at U5014?
or putting the board in the freezer for a couple of minutes and reconnecting it
i read in other posts that it will help to isolate the problem to the ysus

I replaced that chip. I left a message in another post I seen you in. It explains what my TV is doing. You just posted in it like 3 days ago. Drusell started it. But I get red/pink flashing then the TV will shut off. But that only happens when the background on my TV is white. If its a dark color the TV will stay on most of the time.

i am going to have to remove some of the mosfets i didnt replace and check those out

I have a Pn60e550d1fxza that is exhibiting similar problems but not all the time.
If I disconnect power for awhile, then reconnect, I am able to get picture for various amounts of time, but the amount of time seems to get shorter.
My nameplate V numbers are:
Vs = 211
Va = 57
Vsc = -198
Ve = 98

When the TV is working correctly, I get the same values except Vs is slightly higher at 212.

When the picture is lost (still have sound), I have the green LED flashing 5 sec on and 2 sec off.
The V values are:
Vs = 10v
Va = 0v
Vsc = -0v
Ve = 11v
This values are nearly exactly as indicated in the original post.
I have read the entire thread. I haven't pulled cables off to check voltages in various conditions, but the initial feedback was to swap out the Y Sus.
The owner in this thread attempted a repair but still had the problem.
I am inclined to just go ahead and swap out the Y trio and maybe even the X.
I am wondering what the outcome of this problem was since it seems exactly like my case.

I should also add that while I did have picture I was able to get into factory mode and took a picture of the SVC menu. The picture is attached. Any insights to what the errors may mean on several fields?

I read that thread while researching repair for the YSUS.

We are repair service center and you can quote this if you want: there are companies out there - ShipJimmy being among them - that offer repair kits that are highly unlikely to be based on first hand experience repairing boards.

There are boards that we've repaired hundreds of and I NEVER, I mean NEVER have seen particular parts fail that are being offered as a repair kit.

Which is not to say that *everything* they sell is bad.

What it means is this: before ordering a repair kit from a company try and see if they are ready to take in the board for repair for you.

If not then that's one big red flag in my eyes.

There are vendors on eBay that sell HUNDREDS of different repair kits and not a SINGLE repair service.

Coppell TV repair is correct, lots and lots of "repair kits" that don't repair any common fault.

ZEMTRONIX sells lots of repair kits and every single one I have gotten from them has never repaired anything. They don't offer a repair service for any of the repair kits they sell. Big red flag indeed.
I spoke with a guy that actually performs repairs on vizio parts and says ZEMTRONIX is one of the bigger EBAY scams for tv repair. They sell you stuff that never fixes anything.
Back in the day, I had purchased a so called repair kit for a 42" Vizio main board from ZEMTRONIX, and nothing changed. I then got one from coppell and boom back in business. Which btw thanks Coppell, you definitely have helped out on many repairs where I was just clueless

I have the same Tv in atm the control board has failed giving intermittent Vs on signal. Seems like some Bga solder on the Ic on the control board has broken.
