LG 50PC3D Screen Problem "Pictures Included"

I've got a LG50PC3D that would not power up due to the caps on the power supply. I recapped the power supply, the TV turns on and stays on but the screen flashes white/gray repetitively, sometimes you can see vertical bars. "please see attachments"

Any help and advice is greatly appreciated!

Do you hear any ticking noises coming off the y or Z sustain boards associated with the flickering? Looks like a blown IPM module or a shorted mosfet on the upper or lower buffer board.

Feel all four heat syncs on the y and Z. There are two on each. One of them cold still?
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Looks to me like a Zsus issue as the pixels are slightly lit but arnt being discharged properly. Checked fuses on Ysus and Zsus ?

Re: LG 50PC3D Screen Problem "Pictures Included" Updated!

Okay so I replaced the Y-sus main, and found 3fets shorted on the lower buffer. Replaced those and hooked everything back up and now I have a color vertical bar that moves across the screen left to right. Any ideas to what's causing this now?

                problem with replacing lcd screen
                by mmccomputer
I have an HP model : 14-cf0011nf and I want to change its display screen (it has an original 14" full HD TN 30 pins panel) which works without problem but I want to put another screen with an IPS panel, the problem is that I tried several screens but there is no display except with the original screen, I never had this problem before I changed hundreds without problems but this PC is not 'accepted than its original screen
otherwise on the motherboard it displays edp and I don't know, do the panels I tried only work with the LVDS protocol?

                LCD TV Green/Pink screen problem
                by jimjoe123
I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.

Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

                Then each time...

LG 55UH6150- trouble powering up, then half lit screen (pictures!)
                by valvashon
The 55" LG has been in the basement for a few months without being used. Turned it on yesterday, set came on as it should and showed a complete screen for about 5 seconds (was on a broadcast channel but no antenna was connected), then the screen went mostly dark with about 1/3 of the screen on the right lighting up with brighter lines in that lit part (sorry, no pictures of that). Power LED was cycling too, preventing the TV from fully powering up.
Pulled the back off, all boards looked OK. Pulled the LED connector, turned the set on to see if it would power up but I don't belive it...

Sony KD-55XG9505 lines on screen problem
                by Chrissygizmo
                Hello again everyone,

This is my latest mission, to try getting this Sony tv back to normal working order…

I've only just got it today, when you power it up everything is as should be, in fact it works perfectly for a few minutes then the screen starts getting horizontal lines on & eventually the full screen goes back, I will upload photos of the problem & also some photos of the board etc. You might notice that I'm busy trying the tape method, I'm not sure exactly where the clock lines are so I'm just guessing & hoping for the best lol . I've already tried...

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
                by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...
