This one is confusing me. I was thinking bad main board, but now not so sure. I get red standby and no power on. I check and the power supply is being activated by main board as power supply is on with all correct voltages per chart on psu.
So I look no main available anywhere, so I decided to check other things like backlight for a good parts list.
Now this is the wonky part. Main disconnected, psu turns off/on no issue. All voltages stable. Hooked up invertor to check the bulbs and such, they are flashing like xmas lights. Checked the inverter lines and it is as down as far as 17v from 24v no load. Which explains the flashing strobe.
So now my question and bewilderment is is it possible psu bad? And thats why it wont turn on? I know I have constant psu on from the main as soon as it plugged in, but if the psu wont handle the load...hmm.
Hopefully you can point me in the direction and understand my rambling. Only other thing I can think of is both main and psu are bad at once.
I mostly discovered this, because I was thinking of making a halloween decoration out of it. But the psu wont keep the lights on lol.
