I have a Vizio e701-a3 that very seldomly will show a image on the screen. I normally have to unhook panel ribbons and reseat to get anything. When I do see a image its very distorted and almost pixelated even though it's a led. I know this model has known panel issues, what's chances a tcon would fix it.

Well from what I've been dealing with it very well could be a bad panel. Try leaving one ribbon cable connected to the screen at a time from the T CON instead of both and see if you have a picture that looks somewhat normal

Unhooking either ribbon cable does not show a picture. I cant get a picture at all now, think i toasted tge tcon. Someone fill me in on "the operation" please...Comment
