I have a Panasonic plasma tv that the power light blinks 10 times. Upon reading other threads, I decided to replace the power supply board. Unfortunately this did not solve the problem. I read that you need to isolate the SS and SC board but was not sure how to do this.

Additional info - I disconnected the SS board and still 10 blinks. I then disconnected the SC board and then 7 blinks. -

A well aged thread but for anyone reading with what the original OP has written it's sounding like it's another SC board failure.
If you disconnect sc2, ss11,p35, the 3 white ribbons attached to the A-board and the TV on , it should with no error.
No error means it's not the A or P boards and if it still 10 blinks then A or P.
don't reconnect sc2,ss11 or p35 until then is no residual voltage present on those.Comment

I just got the 10 blink code today. I found a flow chart to help trouble shoot issue. I unplugged s11 and s33 still get 10 blink. Then they say unplug sc2 and c20 now I get 6 blinks so think sc board or sd or su board bad. But the chart stopped there.Comment

Found another site and figured it's the sc board. Checked the su and sd boards for shorts and all was good. So now to find a sc board but have found repair kits. What kit and what transistors need changed.

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.
Model number is TH-50PZ85U
Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.
Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.
I also hear a few clicks.
I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Hi,
anyone able to provide the service manual for old plasma Panasonic TX-P42ST50E?
It turns off almost immediately (0~5 seconds after pressing the on/off button) and starts flashing the red diode 6 times.
I disconnected the left-hand side board (SC?, both the ribbon cable and the power cable to it) and also another ribbon going to bottom left board. Then the led signal is 8 flashes. According to service guide to another Panasonic plasma it would mean the left-hand side board is faulty. But I'm not sure it 100% applies to my model.
I checked that board for any obvious faults... -

CHECKED- ON S5 STATE TGE LAPTOP HAS 5V ON USB 3.3V BUT I DIDNT GET 1.8VOLTS ON BIOS PIN NO 8 WHILE PLUGGED IN AND EVEN ON S5 STATE.

Bought this TV used not working, panel flashed briefly on power up and it was blinking 8 times, a quick look on SS board revealed a common fault on the 3uF 250V capacitors, C201 to C205 (C1620X in the service manual), the solder joints were all cracked, C201 and C205 pins were darkened and some sparking had occurred on them, C201 was split open and clearly overheated in its last hours, replaced that one and resoldered the others, 8 blinks fixed.
Also the previous owner broke the antenna connector by taking the TV out of the wall mount forgetting to unplug it, I desoldered the tuner...
