I have a Samsung Ps51d8000 with the same problem but with a
blueish spodge in th center plus alot of screen burn

Hi,
All does anyone in the UK, have a scrap board of the above, it is from a Samsung PS50Q7HDX.
What I need is diode 5904 from the sub-board LJ92-01216B, I have looked for
a circuit diagram but cannot find one down to component level for that board,
I managed to source a complete one from the USA, and it works fine. There is a ticking sound coming from the sub-board, and after doing a side by side measure of components the above diode is O/C
If anyone has one, I would be grateful or can tell what the diode is I need, so I can get this... -

Hi
Has anyone got the above backlight strip that is for parts or failed,
I am after the socket for them as the one on the board I am trying to
repair has suffered irreparable damage.

Are they the same (the flimsy wiring socket has fallen off)
I got one for the 2D version and on the original all LED'S
have polarity the same way but the replacement has 36 one way
and the others reversed.
Can you by any chance show a picture of the LED backlight connector
for a VES500UNVA to see if they are wired the same way from the power supply.

In the picture P#27 shows one of the area's where these have come from I
am not sure what they are as it does not appear to be a circuit.
There are five of these along the length of the backlight.
The dimmer ones run the whole length of the strip.Leave a comment:

there are 22 working with two LED'S but not as bright as the others.

I have contacted them as they have the parts available,
but I do not think I will be able to do this repair,
and have asked them if they do a repair service.

and what does it entail, there is one led out in the strip but
there are 22 pairs that are reduced in brightness out of 72.
There also seems what look like resistors blown off the board
but not sure on that, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know this is an old thread, but I have been asked by a work
colleague to have a look at the above-mentioned set.
I know it's a backlight issue but the screen is a Vestal VES500UNVL
I have seen on E-bay these [URL="https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FINLUX-50FLHKR242BHC-VES500U"] for a Vestal VES500UNVA.
Are these likely to work or are they completely different for
this set and what are the pitfalls with doing one of these thanks

The problem is, that possibly your set has a different panel fitted
to the o/p so it's best to open it up and know for sure.

If you take the panel apart the strips have a part number on them,
with a bit of luck and a search you may find one.there could be two different
strips in there.
If not you need a strip from the same maker as it needs same voltage /
current specs.

was set at 97 after I said to keep it down.
They must have thought not given remote
I could not find out the level.
