Hi, as above and why I don't know. So turning the TV fully off and then back on again brings the back light back up but only for a second or two before turning off again, my guess is something gets to a certain temperature and stops working, maybe a dry joint??. This may be relevant, it's how the back light turns off, it's not a sudden off, it's more of a dimming over a second or two before turning fully off, it might give a clue as to what's going on I don't know so if you have any ideas on what might cause this I'm all ears, thanks, Andy.

Re: LG LED back light turns off after about 10 minutes?
So I've now removed the back and had the Tv on for about one hour and as yet it hasn't tripped, usually it would be after about 10 minutes so I've turned the back light up to maximum and it's been like this for about three quarters of the hour, still no change, I'll leave it on and see what happens next....

Just turned it off now, it didn't trip again but I have noticed two components getting very hot so there's a strong possibility of it being an over heating issue, I'll put a photo up later of what they are, one looks very similar to this:

Normally Bridge rectifiers short, causing the main fuse to blow. Cant go by picture. They have rating for surge and output current. Spacing between the pins is important also. Get the part number and get the same part or one with higher current capacity that will fit the holes and pin spacing.
What is the other part that is getting hot?
