SANSUI HDLCD3210 negative washed out picture

This was given to me, a 32" Sansui LCD TV Model HDLCD3210, it has a negative looking washed out picture, the AS15-G IC on the T-Con board gets very hot as soon as I power on the TV. I'm betting this IC is the problem.
I haven't taken any voltage measurements yet. please chime in with comments.
I have attached some pictures. Thanks.

Yes possibly correct the AS15 IC is defective.....Replace the T-CON Board....If I may suggest, ShopJimmy is the best place to purchase these boards...

If you are going to try to swap the chip off, be careful about removing pads when you are removing the chip, they're very small. Use something like QuikChip to get it off, or blob solder all of the legs together on each side and stanley blade cut the chip off them, then remove the legs with a soldering iron. Sometimes they have soldered the thermal pad under the chip to the board (rare) and you have to either use a heat gun or get physical using the above blob method.

After you have soldered it on, be careful about shorts, you can destroy the tab bond chips in the panel if you have shorts (been there, done that). I have not seen any TCON that uses an AS15 where any two adjacent legs are shorted together on the board. Not to say they haven't, but I've not seen it on LG, Samsung, Philips, Benq or Sony. The closest shorts have been two legs apart and usually power supply pins. Use plenty of flux and if you don't/cannot solder the thermal pad underneath, at least use some silica paste to thermally ground it to the board.

            Good luck.
