    Tcon

Hi everyone my Samsung ln40b610a5fxzc tv fires up fine runs sometimes for a couple of hours then it shuts off. If i unplug the set and plug it back in, nothing happens ,no stand-by light, nothing. If i unplug the ribbon to the tcon board power up the set the power off the set and hook the tcon board back up it runs fine for some time then i go through the cycle once again.Do you think its the t con board? thanks for any advice...

    Re: Tcon

Have you tried disconnecting other boards when the problem arises to see if you get the same result ? Like disconnect the power supply from the main. It is possible that you are simply discharging something with the T-con disconnect. It would seem like the Main logic board or PS is in the mix somewhere. A T-con other than a dead short does not usually shut a set down but there are always exceptions.

      Re: Tcon

You need to check what signals (PS-ON, etc.) and Voltages are missing when it goes into shutdown mode, some T-CON has error signal out to shutdown the set.
