Can anyone point me in the right direction? This tv is stuck in standby mode as in a solid red light. No physical damaged seen on the power board. Whatnirmally causes a red standby light?

Re: BUSH LC39GL12L - Stuck on standby light
Sorry. No good camera to take pictures but as i have said, no visual damage etc. I do get voltage to main board. But it wont turn on, just stays on red light. W have tried another board bought on ebay and same issue but not sure if board is 100% working. We assume main board.Full-time computer repair tech (10am - 6pm) and full-time, (8am - 11pm), Ruby on Rails DeveloperComment

Re: BUSH LC39GL12L - Stuck on standby light
Im getting all output dc voltages when I short the PSon pins. But when I attached the main board, no dc voltages. Again I have ordered a used main board off ebay and I no idea if that works or not. But why when the main board is connected to the power board I get no dc voltage? Or should I say I get dc output but just for few seconds.
Is it normal for the Bridge Rectifier to make a buzzing noise?Last edited by speedypro; 05-02-2015, 10:17 AM.Full-time computer repair tech (10am - 6pm) and full-time, (8am - 11pm), Ruby on Rails DeveloperComment

Re: BUSH LC39GL12L - Stuck on standby light
a common issue on the t.msd306 pcb's for this is corruption of the flash ic (the 8 pin one)
7 out of 10 ten times that's your issue.
The buzzing noise is quite normal, provided you can only just hear it.Comment

Re: BUSH LC39GL12L - Stuck on standby light
Main Bd 3.3V Regulator probably has a short causing the Pwr Bd voltages to drop off. I think your used board off e-bay will work. I have acquired many 'used' Bds from e-bay and ALL have worked so far...Good luckComment

Re: BUSH LC39GL12L - Stuck on standby light
Hello, I am new to Badcaps and I have to say there are some great helpful chaps on here. I was hoping I can continue this thread a bit further and ask for some help. I also have the BUSH LC39GL12L and have the same problem, stuck on standby (blue light wont come on, only red). Just like Speedypro I have all the right voltages at the output of the power supply board mip390hw and am happy that is fine. So I presume the problem is in the main board t.msd306.68a . Now I see newtothis has ask the guy to pm him, could you help me too please newtothis? Also I see steviewonder has stated a problem with the flash ic, could you tell me where this is on the board please? Also AndrewF.Ali mentions the 3.3 regulater shorting, could you point out where this is too please. Many thanks in advance to any replies.Comment

Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power... -
by Ady2017The problem with my TV is very similar to an earlier post but there was no final solution posted.
When the TV is first turned on from cold it will not turn on. The red standby light begins pulsing and a high pitch whine is heard. The back light remains off. If the TV is left trying to boot like this and then turned off and on again a few times then eventually it will turn on and sit there working all day long.
I initially suspected the PSU after spotting this kit for sale,

I got the tv in spring 2024. At that time it started, then ran 60 sec and poweroff. Seemed like reboot issue. I didn't have time and room to check it in summer so I plugged it in and now the standby light is on. I press button on remote, standby light goes off and tries to start?. No picture or backlight on LCD. I thought about removing diodes like in this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...sung-qled-q60r... -
by jasonbay13picked up a tv and when the power is plugged, the standby light flashes real quick then goes off. of 3.3, 12, 24v is all there but i couldnt find any 5v on the back-end board. ON/OFF is low, which it seems is what turns on the backlight so i removed the wire at the back-end board and put a 10k resistor to the 3.3v, which when plugged in brings on the backlight for a split second and also a blue light "LED1" on the inverter board, which goes off after a short time.
am i missing something to bring on the backlight or is the inverter/ccfl gone bad? would that cause the inverter board...12-01-2023, 09:55 PM -
by NicktronicHey Everyone,
So I've got this Samsung and the reported issue is that when powered on the backlight comes on, but no picture, no sound, it will flicker, the standby light will flash red twice and repeat the whole process...each loop lasts about 15 seconds.
I've googled the issue and understand it is likely a panel/driver board issue, but was hoping the "tape method" could be successful. Before I did that though, I disconnected the left LVDS cable and powered the TV on. This time I got sound, no picture and the two blink standby light stopped. Did the same...03-27-2023, 07:01 PM - Loading...
