    Right... so this set uses an external inverter (or LED driver in this case.) The PSU appears to be working as it has 12V/24V.

    Unless the main board is connected to the LED driver somehow, there is no way for the main board to detect a fault with it. It could be that the LED driver is faulty, or that it requires a special DIM waveform that you cannot generate with just resistors...

    Either way, it means it's still the main board that is the root of the fault, IMHO.

            Hi guys, I’m back here my friend give me her tv, that doesn’t turn on and no standby red led. When u plug in the cord the red led of one two second is on, then turn off. If you push the power button or the remote the red led blinks but nothing happen.             Recently had my bedroom Vizio D40u-D1 apparently die while it wasn't being used. Noticed the power LED flashing, figuring maybe a software upgrade, but attempting to turn it on proved that wasn't the case. When powered on, the power LED will flash a bunch of times after about 2 minutes then turn off again. Definitely is no picture even with a flashlight on the screen. Had the opportunity to open it up over the weekend. Doesn't apper to be anything out of the ordinary visibly inside, nor any odd smells of escaped magic smoke. Readings from the connector in the corner of the power supply board...

            Hi all,

            Error – TV not powering on - with standby red –led flashing
            Model- LEDTV – 39T3500
            Power boarD - shg3206a-101h

            I have read through the Basic LCD TV and Monitor troubleshooting guides.

            In the meantime I could not see any damage to any caps on the cold side of the power board, so I have replaced all of them.

            Unplugged the power connector on the board, I plugged the power cable in waited...

            Hi, I'm looking for some help with attempting to troubleshoot and hopefully repair my trusty LG55" TV.

            I'm reasonably comfortable working with electronics, but far from expert level! I have more experience with auto-electrics than anything.

            We recently had a power cut while the TV was on, and since then, when the TV is switched on at the wall, the red standby light comes on like normal. Then. when you press the power button on the remote or the TV to switch it on from standby, the standby light flashes 3 times and then goes out. There is no audio or video at...
