Upon closer inspection we found that the pins in the connector plug has pulled back further out this never made contact with the connector from the battery,,, new quick release fitting fitted and works fine again

Ctek 7000 - no charge
Power the unit on it can cycle through the settings bu there is no voltage coming out on the DC side, I had the board under the magnifying glass and coyld not see any bad components,,, anyone that can give some advice -

The multimeter is set like in the non illuminated display, sorry but I got another meter and is not confident in using it and feel silly

D10 is lifted it gives me a reading only in one way on the diode test
When testing for resistance it gives 2.69ohms only in one direction

D9 to L1 - voltages are the same
R30-yes that is at 100ohm
Zener diode as in pic... Replaced it with a 18v one
D10 - help on this one, how do I measure {same as for any other diode} if so with the probes on the one way and then swapped the other way it does not matter what side I get one reading both ways 098 on multimeter...Last edited by Willem01; 03-08-2021, 11:41 AM.Leave a comment:

Ok so a recap on the existing issue:
power cord plugged in for ever the standby led give a solid status - the tv switch on.
Power cord unplugged for 40sec, plug it back in flashing led status - does not switch on only if I heatup C18, C19, C20 led status change to solid and it powers on.
Have replaced all caps, done the 'dirty cap test' as per nomoresonys suggested, as I have not an ESR meter think the caps must be all good as they are new..

Found C16 to be doing nothing

On L1 it fluctuates 3.6 - 4.7 with the standby led flashing
When I unplug the CON3 plug for 10 sec plug it back the led stops flashing amd turn solid, then the volt on L1 is about 22v

I tried to resimulate the heating of the blue cap,, its not tbat one.
I isolated C18, C19, C20 heated them with the hair dryer and the standby led came to a solid on state and the tv powers up.
Remember I replaced all the caps except C1 and C2

I have placed a piece of cardboard in between the caps to prevent the heat-flow to each of the other caps, I test it 3 times every time I heat up C43 the led goes solid. I can see C30 is not in circuit
C45 is that blue cap
Then on D10 I did measure it and there was a ohm reading cant remember now as the board is mounted again in its place.

Oraait, the z-diode has been replaced and I have power to the board again, luckily that was the only part I needed to replace. All voltages on CON3 are in spec and the backlihgt led's are powering up.
I still have one issue though, with the tv powered off and in standby mode after 5 minutes the led is not flashing, but when I push the power on button the led start flashing and doesnt come on.
I did the following to test the standby power that is stored in the caps:
